Interesting observation -- but in my opinion it looks good, and opens up the bezel and makes the watch seem bigger, because your eye is drawn to the outside edge of the bezel, as opposed to reading toward the bottom of the number, ie. toward the inside of the dial. Easily works in the position shown... it would be interesting to learn if this was an intentional design? Every other dive watch I have or have seen has the numbers facing the dial.
