I just purchased an AVIER brand automatic ss watch with a Swiss ETA movement.  It is  a handsome watch and very heavy.  It is a huge toneau style ss watch.  Does anyone know anything about this brand?  Thanks, Tim.goofy

Supose to be a rather good watch. Just smaller than I care to wear or I'd have grabed 2 or 3 different ones a few nights ago. ;)

small house brand of bernardwatch.com,  I believe. From prices lately, I'd say they are clearing out.

Here is a refreshing statement from the company when asked about the Swiss Made/movement issue.

The requirement for Swiss Made is that over 50% of the watch be made
in Switzerland. Our first models (the Torino, Statesman and Triton)
were made with Swiss movements in high-quality Asian cases.

With the Gran Torino we experimented with casing in Switzerland in
order to achieve the "Swiss Made" logo, but we found that the added
cost could not be justified.

This is why the newest models - the automatic chronograph, the hand
wind, and the Adventurist do not have Swiss Made on the dial.

All of our watches uses Swiss movements regardless of where they were
cased. We find that the movement is usually considered the most
important quality attribute.

Kind Regards,

P.J. Ingenito

Quite refreshing compared to our beloved Invictasubtlelaugh.gif

This also was a statement made by them................

We test each Avier on a Timegrapher and regulate it immediately prior to shipping to ensure the best accuracy possible without a COSC certification. We also back up each Avier with a two-year warranty

I ordered the tire track TorinoThumbsUp02.gif

That's a fine looking watch, Tim. That's the Torino, I believe, you are referring to. And, a heck of a deal, I would say. :)  Congrats, and enjoy!

I now own 5 and find them to be very well made and a refresing change from the other watches offered on shopping shows....the owner/guest is also very straight forward and there is no sensationalizm in his sales approach....I have been very happy with the ones I own and have 2 more on the way while they are still on sale at JTV/TThand6.gif

It is the Statesmen model with white dial and blue numerals and blue hands.  It is really nice!  Your pics are awesome!  Any idea of where these are made?  I am curious due to the name?  Thanks, Tim.
