I'll have to take a pass on this one. At first look, it looked interesting. But then as I studied it more, I did not like where the crown was placed. And it just seemed to simplistic to me. Just my 2-cents.

An interesting collaboration between Gevril and Omega to make this GV2 hand cranker. I am thinking about it. It's a limited edition of 500 and rather cool yet simple for a bridge movement.

It has the Omega 1070 Movement inside there. Winds from the 12 O'clock position. I may wait for the shows live shots to decide one way or the other myself though. ;)

I was seriously considering this one earlier today, but the "decorative" gear design on the front killed it for me.  Kinda cool, but then again, sort of pretending to be something it really isn't.  Probably STILL a good buy, though...

I like the watch and it is a nice homage to the Corum Golden Bridges but ends there for me.....I doubt there was any collaboration between Omega and Gevril and that GV2 just picked up some old Omega mechanicals that were used in womens watches years ago and are a much lower price alternative than building a very expensive narrow train movement as used in the Corumhand6.gif

As all here know..."skeleton" watches, of any type, simply leave me cold.  While I do enjoy a beautifully done movement, I prefer to look at it from the underside of the watch....give me "solid" dials...and keep the skeletons in their closet! :D

It sounds like mostly everyone is on the same page like me, interesting but probably not "your cup of tea"

I think it's a great idea, just wrong execution. The styling cues are all wrong. JMHO:)

Saw Tim trying to sell this watch last night on JTV. Doesn't do anything for me.

I have been collecting Gevril since I first saw them on Tim's show on Value Vision when they became available on the secondary market.  For me the selling point of Gevril was the obvious quality in the design and construction but, this one leaves me cold.

While it's interesting, there is little that screams quality like the rest of the line. When I wear a Gevril (almost every day), people will comment on the dial, this one doesn't have one so for me it looks bland and plain.

The two Gevril watches that get the most notice are my first generation (real, not re-issue) 18K & SS AO111 on 18K & SS with the blue Dial and my GV2 San Bernadino Masterpiece on SS with the white dial on bracelet.  I just bought a unworn in box first generation chronograph with the 51 jewel Dubois-Depaz 2020 movement all SS with a blue dial and expect that one to get noticed too. I should have it in a couple of days and I can't wait. smile8.gif
