As I said a year ago it reminds me of the 1968 volkswagon "DASHBOARD" that I use to own, back in 1980.....subtlelaugh.gif  Hey when I first seen this style of watch I thought it was some type of bottle opener watch.

I'm not sure that I would wear any Oceans7 watch except for the GMT made by Steinhart...don't like the approach that company takes!

I have one and enjoy wearing it very much! :)

... and it came with both red and silver bezel lock buttons.  I currently have the silver one on mine. ;)

a bit expensive once you buy the bracelet and saph insert  for a Chinese watch imho ....but like any other watch brand there will be fans who will follow much like Invicta and to each their own if that makes them happy imho...Congrats to all who received one ,it is a good looking watch imo watch2.gif

I don't understand the companies mission statement though?:"Our guiding philosophy is simple - we have to be different to be better!" I have not seen a O7 that was not a copy or homage to some other brand or model....what have they made that is so different? face4.gif

I am waiting for the Omega Ploprof re-edition coming out in 09' and I doubt I would wear that either but at least it could have some collectibility value down the linehand6.gif

How bout' some pics Mark....and Congrats Buddy!hand6.gif....also how do you feel about it only having 58 clicks on the bezel?....seems odd when there are 60 sec. to a minute :?  I have not read anywhere what movement/grade was used as of yet but maybe I missed it ;)

Typically, they have screwed you on price and movement...but that's just my opinion.  There are people who like Bathy's, too, and they are equally unethical. (Bathy's...not the people!:D)

It was announced long ago that the SW-200 would be the movement, the same used in my Debaufre Triton.  That movement has been trouble-free so far and and I expect the same from this one.  So far the watch has gained 2 seconds in 24 hours.  Not bad! ;)

The 58 click bezel was a bit of a surprise, but given that the bezel action is very tight with almost no play I can accept that.  I have (or have had) many a watch with 60 or 120 click bezels that have slop to them or which are slightly misaligned, so that the the triangle is either slightly off the mark or can be moved off of it easily.  With this 58 click bezel the amount that the triangle is off is very, very small at the worst point.  Sure, it would have been nice to have those 2 extra clicks but I'm not too upset about it.

I know this watch isn't for everyone and that's fine.  I for one love it!

I've never understood the allure of this particular model. There are people that just go ga ga over this watch. More power to them I guess. I couldn't wear it as a desk diver, but could see it being worn for serious diving.

Why thank you, sir! thankyou.gif

I should add that the lume on this watch is simply amazing.  It puts my Omegas, Doxas and the mighty Seiko Monster to shame.  I showed it to my 5 year-old son and he thought it was the coolest thing ever!  For some reason he loves stuff that glows in the dark... ;)

I believe his exact words were "Whooooooooaaaaaahhhh!  Daddy, THAT'S the coolest watch EVER!  Now let me see it in the light.  Whoaaaah, its STILL glowing!!" ThumbsUp02.gif

is it my imagination but after everyone waited so long for this watch it seems a gang of these LM-7's are being unloaded big time in just a short period of time after receiving them and owning one!face4.gif

I dunno... I still like mine!

...but I've noticed that, too.  Maybe people wanting to make a quick profit?  It really is a nice watch.

Had the same type discussion with Hucky and CJ, O. Same old O7 dial and let's not forget how much WIS tastes change in the long interval this watch took from concept to completion. You gotta strike while the iron is still hot and imo the long delay in the watch's realization contributes greatly to the high turnover rate...face4.gif

For sure the Proplof's design is pretty polarizing.  But I suppose that's one thing that some owners really like about it.  It's anything but business-as-usual.  And I suppose that if you see the Ocean7 as a relatively inexpensive way to feel like you're experiencing the history of the original, it could be seen as quite a deal.

That being said, I don't think I'd wear it, unless I could do it when no one else is looking. toon1.gif

The case shape is just a little too intense for my tastes, eveything else looks great in my opinion. Im on the fence with this one.

I wear mine, I like mine due to the Case.
The dial needed a little bit of some new design to it, a Freshen Up.
I had troubles with my strap fitting into the Head of the Lugs, Molding Seam.
The Lume on this Dial is Amazing!
The clicks at 58 dont mean a thing to me, IM easysubtlelaugh.gif

I think people are dumping them on the sales forums because so much other stuff came out at the same time after a long wait.

I also think that simple economics made people part with them on over balanced credit cards.

Look at the sales forums now, Not a very big turn around, I see the same watches from one day to the next without anybody Re-Posting, or Bumping them.
Its slowin down for some of us.

Cheers

The world's most unlikely "hommage." It sure took guts (stupidity?) to put the money into this project. Chinese case, odd bezel priniting, 58 clicks. What's to like?

"Cool watch...what's the story behind it?"

"Oh! Thanks! It's a Chinese copy of an Omega..."

No thanks.

Well I just have to laugh after a WIS Buddy pm'd me another huge flame going on at the Dive watch forum/WUS over O7 and the LM-7...apparently if you want your defective 58 click bezel repaired as Mitch stated can be done before Feb.5th on the Flopprof you have to be one of the O7 Sheep!....Baaaasubtlelaugh.gif

Too bad if it was a gift or you bought it an hour after the original owner sold it!!! mistake.gif

Yeah after all the crap surrounding this model I'm wondering if it was a good move for them?:X

Well at least those WIS that held on to the LM-7 (both of them) can get a bezel replacement... oooh and a bracelet that looks just like every other O7 bracelet...subtlelaugh.gif
