Hi everyone!

Am pleased to announce that I've recently joined the team at GemsTV and the first shows premiere this coming Tuesday.  watch2.gifIt's been a bit of a sabbatical, but Top Men have been working behind the scenes.

The shows are slated for for Tuesday the 9th   1p east - 10a west (a special lineup featuring timepieces for women, with a few guys pieces as well)  boy10.gif and an evening lineup at 11p east - 8p west   and will include entries from Gevril, GV2, Epos, Croton, Deep Blue, Louis Richard, 32 Degrees, and Akribos, among others.

For those of you who may not know, GemsTV utilizes a descending auction format, and despite what some think the final price really isn't know until it happens.  I've never seen this format applied to a dedicated watch program, so it should prove to be an interesting mix indeed.

Look for the shows to return at the same time each Tuesday with more hours being added as the show establishes itself.  It's worth noting that a concerted effort is being made to have all product completely different from show to show, so variety will certainly be a major factor as the GemsTV program unfolds.  party.gif

I do hope you all can join me; your support as always is much appreciated.  thankyou.gif

Most Sincerely,

Tim Temple

It will be very nice to have you back on a more permanent basis Tim.

I am a dolt ... I don't really watch TV shopping unless it is watch shows. Does anyone know what channel GemsTV is on DirecTV???

The website list DirectTV as channel 233 and Dish Network 226. Cable you will have to check your channel programing lineup.

Too bad we don't have this in our part of the planet but for sure the descending auction format is very interesting. hand6.gif

Tim I just checked that show out. I was totally lost but the way the prices drop on a item was very cool.

If a $850 watch goes down to say $89 that would be freakin wild. Or a $3000 watch down to oh $250 but then I don't understand what they are doing either. LOL :D

I was actually amazed at the fact you guys had an offering from Deep Blue to start the evening show. Very cool brand and a really neat watch. You beat the 'standard price' too ;) .

am glad everyone liked the show. I think the brand variety is overall great and there is more on the way. As some has discovered, their format is definitely different. The start price is exactly that and doesn't seem to have a bearing on anything. Also, they do not make the watches available in advance which is something I've never worked with before. They have to be picked up literally while the "fall" is in progress. It is true that a fall would likely be different from a fixed price offered in advance so I guess that is the logic in that decision though I am hoping to work something out for those who want to buy outside of the show.
