I would have to agree that a 1970 Speedmaster is high on my list.  I've also got some that no one has heard of....

1965 DongFeng (Sea-Gull) military issue mechanical chronograph
1971 Shanghai military issue automatic dive watch
modern Sea-Gull minute repeater

just to name a few.

cheers,

Liked the Hautlence HLS 04 since first I saw it, but in excess of USD30k, this'll have to wait awhile.

Superb choice, Jon. But it's either a Mini Cooper or this baby on the wrist....subtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gif

The choice is clear, cos a Mini Cooper is USD80k++ here. We've got a congestion problem here in Sgp which our gov't has managed to turn into revenue stream.

I've always wanted a Rolex Submariner until I saw what to my eye is the most distinctive, retro, art-deco, underwater inspired watch of all "time."

Great choices there guys!  I was a pilot so therefore my dream watch is the Limited Edition EP120 by Bremont.  It is a tribute to the British RAF Spitfire Mk V aircraft and the watch itself has a part from an original Spitfire.  The Spitfire sure is a great looking "bird" but then again our own P-51 Mustang isn't to shabby herself.  hand6.gifhand6.gif

I'd have to answer the question by asking a question. Which watch have I lusted after more than any other? Those of you that know me, know which one. A Rolex Milsub, but would settle for a 5513 with the matte dial or a Tudor sub w/snowflake hands and dial. Hell, I'd probably settle for any Rolex or Tudor sub:D.

The most striking feature of that watch is the propeller etched at the sapphire glass case back. It's a nice one, Norm.hand6.gif

Seiko MM 300, Seiko Flightmaster auto chrono, Speedmaster Moon watch, Rolex SeaDweller or no date Sub in that order.

However, I have found that having a dream watch doesn't stop the itch.  I had, for me, one of my dream watches, a Bulova Accutron chapter ring Spaceview.  I loved it, but I just didn't wear it so off it went for someone else to enjoy.

Cheers,
Griff

I'm afraid that will happen if and when I do ever get a real expensive watch.  Oh well, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

A Doxa SUB 1000T Caribbean... That would be the only one I'd need for the rest of my life. Absolutely wonderful.

There are a lot of other great watches (i.e. Sinn, Orient Star), but the Doxa is the one I keep coming back to.
