Apparently, there have been 40 bids on it, so there are a few people that think it is.....will be interesting to see what the last second snipe bids are. The one I sold was at $1,100 with about 45 seconds to go and sold at $3,300!! |

It went up $6K in the last 12 seconds, sold for over $22K...a true snipe, the winning bidder had not bid on it before Last edited on Sat Dec 19th, 2009 10:09 pm by Nabco |

I oon't know that I would spend $3300 on a watch on ebay let alone $22,000. Would need some very special terms and conditions to authenticate. |

Isn't 22000 a "not so good price"?? Just because one spitted 27000 on one like that once? It can be enough that the winner find out that it's not worth that much on the future market and he will retract: The 27000 guy may have not done a good deal at all... At this price, you can get exclusive movements and better cases than brass. Never heard of those before: I think that one must be American to have so wild interest in those models... Well, I'm not in the rail-road watches... |

I see... Still, I think that one must be American to feel so much about those watches... The movement did look great but wasn't so old: 1932... I saw older high grades and very rare movements going much lower price... But it always come down to somebody's feelings in auctions... |
