So now I´m having a bit of a problem deciding between the sharkmaster or the vortex, or even the triton. but either one would be a good choice I guess.
But thanks clouser, for your opinion. Didn`t make the decision any easier now, hehe.

I gave some serious thought to the Vortex when it first came out, but the lug to lug length was just too long for my 6.75" wrist. My cutoff point is 50mm, and I think the Vortex has a 54 or 55mm lug to lug. I also didn't like the fact that it doesn't have a date feature. I used to own a Bernhardt Sea Shark, and while I liked the look of the watch, I NEEDED the date wheel. However, if you have the wrist for it and you don't need the date feature, it's an excellent choice.

No, absolutly a contender also William. but a bit more pricy than the sharkmaster, and liking the hands of the SM a bit more, and both beeing hommages to the omega, not sure how much more value one gets on this compared to the SM

My wrist is just shy of 8" so guess the lug-to-lug wont be a problem, but the no-date thing was a bit of a turn down, but besides that and the lume reportedly beeing week, I love the design. You got a view on the lume there Clouser?

Well, in the end there could be only one, and its name was VORTEX!!!

So puled the trigger on a Dievas Vortex late last night, and some zulus to match, from Anders. So pretty happy camper here, just to bad there is allways the looong waiting.
But thank you all for your opinions, much appreciated!

Rolf

The Vortex is a good choice...it's a great field, dive, pilot watch that can be worn easily under a sleeve...but than what WIS does?....it is the only 1 that is made outside of HK as well and for the price a great deal on a Fricker cased/German made watch ... it is the most versatile of the bunch which I either own or have owned.
...the Sharkmaster would have been the 1 for sheer sport/dive...it is one of the best homages to date imho and 1 of the finest examples coming out of HK last year...if you are into vintage Omega than the Sharkmaster will scratch the itch without breaking the bank.

Thanks Oagaspar! In the end it just had to be the vortex , by far the most bang for the buck, and looove the design. But that itch you are talking about, it still needs scratching, hehe, so just can`t keep ignoring the sharkmaster. But as the Vortex was a gift from the CO-home base, I guess she will use this for what it´s worth, and the comments like "How can you possibly need even more watches ...?!!" will probably reach new hights. So no thing as a free lunch. So the sharkmaster will have to just appear in a highly covert operation, and then sticking to "what? That old thing ...No, had that one from before we meet I think ..." And then sticking to that story NO MATTER WHATexcellent.gif
Will highly likely sink like a rock, as she can spot my caniving from a mile away, hehe
. But can allways fall back on the fact that by buying me this one, she`s just fascilitating my addiction, so it´s acctually her fault

I agree, the sinn depl. suits the vortex really well. And a sinn depl. is just something a WIS "needs" anyways, so thanks elemental, for pointing that out to me.

Good choice! ThumbsUp02.gif

I've got the itch for a Vortex myself...hopefully it won't be long!
