I had purchased in the past a "back up" bezel for a discontinued watch to ensure I would be able to have as they were in short supply. It was the one and only B&M S XXL. Wish I had held on to that one. Also got the bezel click and back up lug pins/screws.
OP to me it makes sense depending on you motivation.
