Hi guys, Been awhile since posting, as some of you know, we've just been really really busy lately with shipping out our divers as well as designing some new watches. Anyways, just wanted to share something we designed recently. The Chinese forum on WUS wanted to do their own watch and I pitched in a design. Alas, largely ignored (not suprised). Anyways, since it's done, and it is the first dress watch I tried designing, wanted to get some real feedback. Be gentle, do note that this watch probably won't be made: ![]() Last edited on Tue Oct 4th, 2011 07:05 am by movas |

Very nice looking watch. Love the different shapes used, integrated strap only negative is 3atm 5 should be minimum standard anymore

My 2 cents, Sean: 1) go for at least 50mm WR 2) can you re-think the lug cavity. as it is, might limit strap choices 3) the squarish internal dial is a little confusing when viewed as a whole with the round case 4)the lug horns seem sporty and not very appropriate for a dress watch 5) the crown seems too big 6) given the overall design, I'd reduce the applied indeces to just the 4 basic at 12, 3, 6 and 9...then you can keep the moonphase dial at that size. if you want to retain all the indeces, reduce the moonphase. dial seems cluttered. 7) given the indeces design and length of the hour hand, i'd shorten the hour hand a tiny bit to avoid diffulty reading the time. Hope this helps. Wish you the best.

I like the unique case shape, the geometry is very cool, having a round bezel with a squared dial and the smaller inner dials being round, nice size to the the sub-second dial, moon phase, or day night indicator..definitely a unique design

I like this a ton. I love the size of the crown. I could see removing some of the indicies would clean up the dial more and give some more focus to the moonphase. I would not be upset one bit if you decided to make this one.

Although I don't wear watches that don't have a rotating bezel, it seems interesting enough...

Wow, I like that very much indeed. The juxtaposition of the square dial within a round case appeals to me greatly -- it's very unusual and aesthetically pleasing. The lugs look great... I presume they are intended to be (semi-)hooded lugs which I think look very good. I think a design like this could benefit from a certian level of water resistance as it would make a nice 'sport dress watch'.

Thanks guys for the feedback/ suggestions/ complements. Personally I like the case shape although yes the lugs can do with some work. I'm not a big fan of the dial, feels very very boring to me, in favour of some type of 3 dimensional dial myself, that would be more interesting. Also the moon phase disc is kinda boring to me... why must the sky be blue?? anyways, when I have more time, I'll play with it more.
