Ok...Always wanted to know why does everyone call a watch that has it's second hand at the "nine position" a nine eater? I realize nine is obvious but "eater"???? TIA

If all the other numerals are on the dial except the missing "9" where the seconds sub dial is, the sub dial is said to have "eaten" the 9. The sub dials could also be "3" or "6" eaters or evan a "4" or "8".

The Arizona Wildcats!!!...............I grew up in Chicago area so know the NW Wildcats well, and my youngest daughter is a graduate of Kentucky...........so..........I've sent a lot of money there!
