Read in the dive forum that bathy's is going retail. After input from members on price point for a as yet unseen diver retail price seems to be around the 1200 to 1500.00 price range. The only people buying that watch is wus.pvd coatings suck for the long term usage. Online price for the auto is 750.00. 500.00 to high. how many established companies would you buy a watch from in that price range 1st? Sinn U1, Stowa seatime or pro diver. Nivrel. Orsa. Limes. Omega etc. This is my rant for today.

I saw that too.  I agree that he will have a hard time marketing a diver in the price range.  I have an auto black with ruthenium dial and just traded my silver Ti quartz model. Like you said, I would rather spend the money on a Sinn, Stowa or Doxa myself.

The style of the watch bores me......and I agree that Doxa, etc would be my first choice.

Sounds like poor market analysis on their part to me.

As for Nivrel..........

I mis spoke on the Orsa. I meant that orsa is a exellent diver and very well made. Its not in the class of a Sinn. but it is a proven watch. I have 4 of them. bathys has no experiance producing a 300m or 1000m diver. I think they should make a diver 1st, then look at a price point. From following wus for a long time, watching what happened with the ocean7, I really don't think much of the desk diver opinions. Its just my own opinion and not meant to demean anyone.
