cut out/removed quick release pins from a strap?? Can you just snip the protruding release pin with some wire cutters and remove it?? I purchased a Hirsh Mariner strap (sweet strap BTW) and it obviously wont work on the Orsa silver angler. I have it on the Vixa Chrono. Advise???TIA |

I think the "Protrusion" unscrews from the pin, at least it did on one set I had... Otherwise, sure... just clip 'er off! |

Well... you can use a scalpel and carefully cut a longitudinal line following the length of the pin from the protrusion downward. Once completely cut, use a tweezers to gingerly extract the pin from its sheath leaving a void where the pin used to be. Then carefully, hold the two edges of the cut pieces together with a small vascular clamp and use suture to close the gap. Or you could just snip the sucker off and yank the pin out... your choice... |
