I've had my original NauticFish for about two years now. IMO an excellent watch. The first one I remember that used this now popular case. Very cool tool watch look. A very heavy chunk of steel! BTW great forum! ![]() |

Thanks for the welcome guys. The 1000m in my photo is no longer made. They currently make a different model but not nearly the character that the original has. I purchased my original from Swissoria, a german dealer. The current US distributor is http://www.panatime.com (no affiliation). I'm looking forward to this new one. :D |

Price would have to be reasonable for me to buy one imho...I haven't heard any rave reviews from Nauticfish owners other than the original 2005' version that Schaumburg now calls the Aquamaticwatch2.gif These look too close to the new Enzo EM001 which will be released here soon and if they are at the same pricepoint I would have to go w/Enzohand6.gif I like the case on this Nauticfish but once again price, price, price! http://www.enzomechana.com/home.htm |

A little FYI for everyone....the new Nauticfish1000 will cost $1600. w/bracelet and $1300.for the strap model (as quoted me per distributor)...extra straps and a pelican travel case will be included coyote2.gif It will have a Selitta SW200 movement and not a eta 2824-2...another downer for me:(....so it's an EnzoMechana at $895.on bracelet with extra leather and rubber straps as well as the eta movt' and Enzo's CS/QC for me Enzo is in Switzerland putting the final touches to the EM001 and tells me they are on the verge of sellout....so if anyone is in the market they need to e-mail Enzo even if you put your name on the pre-sale list |

I had hoped for the price to be more realistic and probably around $1,000, but $1,600 on bracelet is just ridiculous when you can get a Sinn, a Marcello or a Sawfish for less. My understanding is there may be a initial discount that will bring the price to around $1200./$1300.usd depending on the Euro...(per U.S.Distributor):) |

I keep looking at them, and my bottom line is that the original NauticFish (now Schaumberg Aquatic) was designed by ENZO....I would rather have the ENZO...it is a known quantity. |

I believe in talking with Enzo that the case was available through L&B which he used and modifiedhand6.gif I have both and can say the crown is much larger on the Enzo and the case back thicker and designed for easy removal...the bezel is larger and of course Enzo uses a huge 5.5mm domed sapphire AR coated crystal which the original Nauticfish/Aquamatic does not use....the hands on the Enzo are also larger with better lumewatch2.gifThe bracelet on the Enzo is his design and the watches by Enzo's words as what the guys in the Swiss factory have said to him " my guidlines are more stringent then the criterium used for the majority of swiss factories, the eyeball 10 second test., i require louping and high footcandles, as far as factory tuning goes"and he uses a 1000m water test machine...maybe Avery can expound on thistime2.gif I don't want to knock the new Nauticfish and find it appealing but rather point out what other options there are in a varied price range as many have mentioned here....in the end it still comes down to personal preference which makes us WIS a diverse group imho:) |
