I think is a GREAT buy Tony !!! BUT I like this Invicta better or atleast as good maybe better J155868  I own this Invicta  in gold!! And it is one of there best made watches of late!!!! NO plastic retainer same Movnt as the JL and it has a super nice strap NOT Gator BUT I like it better than some of my gator straps . and IF you have a large wrist like me JL cuts or buys a LOT a smallish straps duno why ..also the case is thick on the Invicta like 7750 case .. I like that look ..I like this watch so much .. Iam gona BUY the silver Black MOP dial version on the 29th 6 AM host pick that day http://www.invictawatch.com/InsideInvicta/Issue27/

I wear this watch a LOT so either way you go BOTH are a classic  LOOK imo and you can't go wrong ...seems the quality is super on this Invicta BUT with all the CS crap they have the JL maybe the best bet ...I wore the Gold Invicta  to Dinner last evening ! IF ya got a coupon you can buy the Invicta at a steal 199.00   bucks ..As Oscar and I were discusing Invicta has put a few watches out of late like this one and the S1 that are the Quality of OLD Invicta .. Now when there gona revert back to     @#$%^&* crap who knows  ...   so after all my babble IT would be a toss up for me ! But I have seen the Invicta NOT the JL .. I almost bought the JL anyway today its such a good deal on a classic watch !!IMHO

Tony,

JL makes a superior quality watch and Lior backs them.  I love my JL automatic (ETA2824-2) and the Croc strap it came with was exceptional.  There is absolutely no question, to me, between the acquisition of a JL versus Invicta.  The Jacque Lemans wins hands down for quality, fit & finish and customer service. :dude:

I got NO kick with the Quality with JL !! But there straps if YOUR a BIG guy are in MOST cases useless IMHO !! the only time I see a strap on a JL of 9and 1/2 to 10 inches is when the watch is 600 to 1500 bucks there little tiny crocs are for me just useless and I end up having to ORDER a strap befor I can wear there watches ...Lior even seems to put short braceletts 8 inches on a nice watch ! I don't understand this never will !! NO one wants to have to wait for links to show up even if they are free ...Having said that I would BUY another JL I own a lot now !! I was comparing 2 watches 1 I own!! And I KNOW ITS made well IMHO !!

even Invicta gets one right now and then :O))

I knew when I posted MY opion it would not go over well :O))))...

AND I agree the croc straps on the JL are Great quality just cut way to short for us BIG guys MOST of the time !!!! once in a while Lior a pop for a decent length strap on a higher end watch  again IMHO ...

Guy...I Don't Think Your Opinion Was In Question,Buddyand I Agree JLM is Stingy When It Comes to Their Straps and Bracelets...Not Only That,,,,they Tend to Use Odd Sizes...19/23mm..almost Impossible to Findbut When It Comes to QC/CS...JLM and SWI Rate #1 in Most Of Our BooksI Did Enjoy Our Conversation as Always Guy!,and We Can Agree the Invicta S1 CF as Well as The 1948 ReMake are Far Superior When Compared to Some of the Duds They Have Had Of LateI Also Agree ...Having to wait For Anything for a WIS is Painstaking...You Would Think by Now these Manufacturers Would Give a Strap/Bracelet Size Option Hey...I'm Smoking a Nice Bowl of Guys Very Cherry...Very relaxing Buddy!!!! I would be willing to bet that if you called Lior and told him you had bought one of his watches and the strap/bracelet was to small, he would esxchange it for a larger one without hassle.

The JL and Invicta prices the last couple days have been, to use a Skeltonism, "stupid." For a WIS, it's like putting a bowl of crack in front of a crack ho.
