Paxman wrote: AHHH, the Rolex Pepsi. To die for! My dad has this model. He bought it 1956 and didn't even realize he had to have it serviced regularly. Then in 1993 I took it to Singapore for some servicing. It was still keeping perfect time and aside from the service and rejuvenation, all it needed was just a new bezel. The Pepsi is a keeper anyday. Kudos, pax. They don't make them anymore and I don't really fancy the replacements in black ceramic dials. Just curious, I see some of us post watch pics with the crowns open/unscrewed? Is this on purpose? Just curious, Pax.

Great story about your father's GMT. As for the crown pulling. I'm hacking it to set the hand(s) position for the picture to bring some symmetry to the dial. 10:08:24 or thereabouts but a little different with the 4th (GMT) hand. I am a dork!
