That's an elegant one, Graham. I like the chrono and the case profilehand6.gif.

Wearing my new arrival, STEINHART, NavB, 47.5mm, auto, in stainless steel. But somehow the steel has been treated differently and it looks exactly like titanium. Will post this one with lots of pics on NEW ARRIVALS, too. Happy Weekend, 3T!!!

Nice catch. Very fine collection.

I like the Nav B-Uhr vintage, very unique but I wish Steinhart make the 42mm automatic too . This 47mm just a bit too big to my wrist. And I'm not a big fan of hand wind movement otherwise I'll get the LE version.

Also wearing a pilot watch today

Nothing special just my 4 yrs old beater. Ollech & Wajs MP2824-2 with Navy blue Nato strap. Good value for money ~ -5sec daily after 4 years punishment.

Thanks for the kind words, Sang! I also like your O&W. Saw it in the Texas a few years back but had problems with the seller's termsmistake.gif. Anyway, this Steinhart is not on Unitas. Instead it's on ETA and quite accurate despite just a few days out of the box. My wrists are small at 6.75 inches but somehow I'm ok with frisbee-sized watchessubtlelaugh.gif.

You might want to think twide about handwinding watches. They serve a specific purpose and it's a joy to wind the watch daily.

Graham, yes, the lume is amazing. Just as good, if not better than the Seiko Monster series. At night when I have to use the bathroom, in very dim light/total darkness, the lume looks scary because it seems to throb....maybe it's got a soul of its own. I think Seiko may have met its match on this lume.hand6.gif

48mm case Zeno Bubble-sapphire with 2846 eta auto.
A hell to take pics of: The crystal catches everything around at 360 degrees...

Seems like your Nav-B case is thin-blasted Jeff! Nice pilot!!

Nice Zeno, William!! I never even knew it existed. Wow! How'd you take the last shot? Did you remove the crystal?subtlelaugh.gif

I don't know how they did the NavB coating. First time I saw at Anders' shop, I thought it was Ti until I held it in my hands and realized the weight wasn't light at all. It's stainless steel but I can just imagine it's like a "parkerized" coating, same as the ones used for original issue Colt 45s in the old days. Hats off to Steinhart for this creation. If you are familiar with the K-Cote of the Sig Sauer, maybe it's the same technology. I need to write them and find out.

I'll post on New Arrivals very soon. Welcome back, too William!!!yourock.gif

It's the Zeno 8800. Certainly hard to find and out of production now... Didn't think that it was a coating on your NavB. Was convinced that is was thin-sand blast or glass beaded process;)
Thanks amigo: It's good to be back home...

Thanks, Brice. I highly recommend this one, amigo. So much heritage to all those dogfights in the sky!

The lume itself should send shivers to the Seiko Monsters. On a scale of 1 to 10, Seiko's Lumibrite is a 10. On this NavB, I'd rate lume at 10.1subtlelaugh.gif

I hope you'll check out my mini-review on this over the next few days.;)

thankyou.gif Jeff!

It is an older band that I just put on this watch. I had it on a Ti MM for a while.

Congrats for the beautiful Nav-b Jeff, the sterile dial is my favorite hand6.gif  I agree 100% with you for the lume, I have a Débaufré Nav-b 48mm and I was amazed the first time a saw it glow in the dark.  I could see the greenish reflection of the lume on a white wall sitting one meeter from hit, no joke!  And it's not only strong for a few minutes, it will last all night and yes, I would say it's a tight match for the Seiko monsterI would also say that Débaufré /Steinhart makes the best  Nav-b homage you can get for the money IMHO.  Azimuth is using the same case on some of their pilot watches with same movement except a few models with modified Unitas with hacking mechanism and smoother sweep hands and swan neck regulator and sells for many times the price of Débaufré /Steinhart.  So nice catch again for the LE Nav-b, I love the finish of this one!Thumbsup3.gif

Thanks, Daniel. Yes. Very true. I have 2 NavBs (the other is Debaufre) and indeed their lumes are exceptional. Excellent value overall and accuracy is top rate.

On the finish, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I worry that I might ding and scratch it up and getting it buffed and restored might be a challenge. I'll write Steinhart and see what they will say about this ti-like finish;)
