I will say that the Zodiac is a 20mm tapering to 18mm strap, so it's got a nice vintage vibe to it, but my personal preference for straps that are 20mm wide or less would be to have a straight 20mm strap with no taper (as those offered by Bonetto Cinturini and Isofrane for example). All my opinion, of course, but I think the 20mm-18mm tapered strap looks just a little bit undersized on this one given the watch size, but I'm getting used to it after a couple days. The cool thing about the BC 281 is that it looks like the strap flares a bit past the lug width, and then finally tapers very little to 20mm, so it may have the appearance of a slightly wider strap. I may have to try one. BTW (which do you prefer?...looks like you've been going between the BC281 and the BC321 on your various Sharkmaster versions!). Good stuff there!

Funny you should mention the Bergeon...I finally picked one up a month-and-a-half ago after using some of the cheaper options out there for years (ordered the 6767-F tool which has the narrow fork good for ss bracelets, and also ordered the replacement tip for the 6767-S, which is the wider/flat fork for use with leather and rubber straps so I could have both mounted on each end of the tool). Well worth it to have a high quality tool, and I don't know what took me so long.

I finally got the rubber Cuda strap to fit on my A2, I had to take a razor blade and thin it out a bit near the spring bar holes, but now its on, and I love it on rubber! BTW Stew, that Sea Wolf is BEAUTIFUL! I cant stop looking at it! ![]() ![]() Last edited on Wed Apr 13th, 2016 03:53 pm by PowerChucker |
