First I think it is important to point out that this is exactly the same watch as the Orient Star model, made in the same factory by the same people with the same parts. The only difference is the dial print makes it an export model!

At 45.5mm across and 17mm thick this is an SKX007 On Steroids in the best way possible.

5mm of AR coated sapphire keep the water away from a perfect dial and a wide tight 60 click bezel complete the high visibility face of the watch!
Their is nothing else in Seiko's or Orient's model line that can compare to the lume on this watch, it is simply the best and brightest there is period.

This is one of those great watches that you know buys you membership into a private club that only another member can appreciate.
It's an expensive watch but absolutely worth every penny!

here's a few more taken with the new d300

Great pickup and I can absolutely agree with the comment about the "exclusive club" - I have the yellow dial 300m and you really need to own one to understand what a great piece it is, and how the lack of features such as hacking and handwinding are not detractors at all.  And yes, best lume of any watch I've ever seen.

Thanks guys! I thought it was going to be just another watch and I really didn't realize how big it was going to be either!

I probably wouldn't have bought it but a fellow wis just called me and said check your mail you owe me xxxx dollars...
I actually feel really bad for dismising this watch because of it's cost, it really is amazing... I've got the "perma-grins" and I haven't been smoking anything !

I will try to get some better glamour shots of it if winter ever ends and I can get outside with it!

For those of you who are actually interested in this watch, you might want to put in a request to our resident Orient AD so he has an idea how many he might want to commit to for the next run.

These are all gone now but the next batch should be here before the end of summer 08 and I hear along with black and orange there is a possibility of the yellow one too if there is enough interest!

These are not produced in very large numbers so get off the fence you are thinking about it!

Just wanted to clear the air a bit. For those who don't know, I'm the Orient AD that OldCrowe is referring to.

This watch, currently only offered in black and orange (per the 2008 price list; when I go to JCK in June I may find out about the yellow), has an MSRP of $1800 USD.

Orient, starting May 1, is seriously cracking down on internet pricing, and as such, you will see this offered by US AD's at the lowest advertised price of $1260.

For 3T, I can do slightly better. So if you are truly interested, drop me an email at sales@longislandwatch.com

Thanks-
Marc

Thanks for the info Marc!
I hope it's ok to send people your way who are asking about this?

Yellow is just a twinkle in the eye of the Orient gods but a few requests might be all it takes!

@mcwright
That page makes a nice PDF with a little tinkering! Thanks!
