Received the Orange Reef Ranger today and am most favorably impressed by this watch. First off, I have to thank Keith for his outstanding service, attention to detail and vision. This is a great watch and the whole process has been a great and WIS-ful experience.

Now the watch itself. Perfectly executed and supremely functional. A fantastic and solid bracelet. Look how perfectly the end pieces fall into the lugs! The bezel operation is precise and flawless. some may not care for the cyclops but I have only one other watch with this functional a cyclops and it cost a bit more than the Reef Ranger. Immediate legibility is the primary function of the dial and it is legible day and night thanks to the lume which is a bluish tint similar to some of the Citizen watches. We are certainly seeing plenty of yellow but I have no choice and must go orange. The orange shows nicely without being overpowering or harsh. Crown operation is flawless and well executed with no wobble or slippage. All in all this is a well put together watch with all the right bits.

Packaging is outstanding as shown in Oscar's post. A very functional two watch valet containing the watch, attendant papers and a set of screw drivers for sizing the bracelet. Obviously put together by a WIS for a WIS. Very functional and cool.

If you're on the fence, get off it. This is an excellent watch for the grizzled WIS or newbie looking for a quality Swiss Made watch. Regardless of where you're at in this madness, you'll be happy with this watch.

Pax...great little review.  I looked up the exact color of orange to see if I could determine why you had not choice and found out it is called Liberal Orange...now I understand! subtlelaugh.gif  As a former Armor Officer, I chose yellow (had to replace the Yellow Monster)....I see Chris, Oscar, Skip and all the other smart guys got yellow, too!

All kidding aside, you are right on about this watch, when I compare it to many other new issues, the Boschett Reef Ranger beats then hands-down in features, robustness, quality control and fit & finish ...not to mention price!

Well not so easy to put into words so let's try this.

In the flesh it is much closer to the Doxa than Tutima. What says you? toon1.gif
