Well I had to do it. Not having any 2nd generation Gervil product, I bought a Sea Cloud on ebay.  I have always wanted one since first seeing them on Tim's show on Shop NBC when they first were introduced in 2000? This brings my Gevril collection up to 19....

There are some differences between the current Sea Cloud production and the original. The case has a coin edge and the lugs are hinged, otherwise at first glance, they look the same. I hope that my picture shows those differences.

Needless to say, I am stoked! it runs great and is very comfortable. I may never take it off....

Congrats on another fine pickup. I have one of the first ones with Gevril on the side of the case. Awesome watches. ;)

Yes Simon, and I want more.....  The way I buy them, pre-owned or secondary market, they are a bargain! I never pay over $500 except for my 15 degree many years ago.  A good friend of mine was a Gevril dealer back in the 2nd. generation days so I began my collection then and bought my first ones from him. Here's what you get:

Pure Swiss made!

handcrafted with stunning case designs and dials, not to forget the many innovations!

High quality components!

Gevril is a USA owned company!

It's a WIN, WIN, WIN, WIN situation.

OMG, I sound like a Gevril commercial but. I am only a fan......

I have many non Gevril watches in my collection but, I must admit there are more Gevrils than anything else... Omega comes in second, though many of them need a visit to the watch doctor.
