My wife and I had decided not to exchange gifts this year as we just bought new furniture for our family room and are taking a getaway weekend without the kids (it's been 12 years!)
She knew I was hankering for a watch though, as always toon1.gif

We were at Penney's over the weekend and they were having a sale on Wengers, and I have been drooling over the Aerograph classic.  Penneys had a blue/black model that isn't even on the Wenger website, and I like the orange/black too.  So, figuring I wouldn't get a watch for Christmas I bought the orange/black on Overstock when we got home from the mall and it came yesterday.  Little did I know that my wife snuck back up to Penneys and got me the blue/black:

So now I have both and love 'em, just the right size, nicely finished, cool lume and the pilot sub-seconds style just grabs me hand6.gif

I hope you all have a great Christmas, I sure am!

Cheers,
Griff

Thanks guys!  I am really liking these watches, the blue is just too cool, and I always love the black/orange combo.
 :)

Cheers,
Griff

Thanks guys!  My wife and I had a great time on our trip to Lancaster county, we stayed at a bed and breakfast in Intercourse, PA :D  Not far away is the headquarters for the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors museum, so we took a visit yesterday.  My wife had to pull me out of there after almost 3 hours, LOL.  We also hit the outlet stores and I scored an ESQ Squadron compass watch for 70% offhand6.gif  The prices in the Bulova outlet weren't that great (I wish I didn't miss all those Shnoop deals on the Accutron VX's ), but the clerk working there is a student at the Lititz Technicum, a WOSTEP school just up the road.  So we had a good conversation about horology in general.  I also saw the RGM American made movement at the NAWCC, and another visitor had an RGM diver on his wrist so we had a conversation about it (see the thread about RGM Eye Candy).

Here's a stock pic of the ESQ, as soon as we got home I put it on a Zulu, makes it much more "tool" like.  Wrist shot to follow...

Cheers,
Griff
