So I happened upon the Local Flea Market This weekend past in which is held every Sunday Morning from 9 am - til- 2pm at the Local Sports arena (Gotta Start Bringing a camera!)  I missed the past 2 previous with a Fractured leg so felt well enough to venture out this time around.

As I wander through the 100 or so Big Bingo Tables full of Merchants; Gawking at every Strap and Watch and jewelry Specimen I find (while Drinking my morning JAvA of Course Hee Hee!)  I happened upon a lady in her late 60's-early seventies and she has a sisplay case and Memorabillia every where and costume jewelry.  As speaking with her she informed me her Husband had recently past-on and Most of the items were of his possessions so I console with her.

There are only a 3 browsers (including myself) at the table now as the doors just opened to the public. There is an Elderly gentleman clinging to a couple of old Watches (and as I tried to view what he is hiding/Contemplating; he Knows he got something special Hee Hee -well an old timex and a Lucerne 1 jeweler Date)

As he was busy watching me Watch Him HAHA-I spot There a 3 door big Jewelry box with a pop top Lid at the very corner of the table with a sign that reads " Items not sold individually-$35.00 for all"......

Well, There are tons of costume chains and broaches and rings and what nots, but as I examine Closer: I spot a Lug or two in the Midst Pertruding through the tangled mess of Tarnished Plate Gold Snakes and Ladders Hee Hee! So I pull out Two Watches and poke around for more without luck.

Well, A Childish Grin Came over me as the Elderly Gentleman next to me is Trying to See What I have scored also (while he is hoarding his Finds)...

I immediately pass the Lady behind the table a $50.00 Bill and she asked me if I need a Box or Bag for the Jewelery Chest- I told her "No Ma'am, You keep the rest and sell it at your will": there were a ton of collectibles in that chest and I told her to "take down the sign and if Anyone asks about a price on an item-Ask them to make her an offer; and an hour or so before the market closes-Put the sign back up and take best offer on the works"; and she does so immediate.  So as she was passing my change from the $50.00 (as the Chest complete was $35.00) I told her to please keep it as I was very happy paying $50.00.  See; Kindness works for all!

PS-When I showed the elderly man next to me my Find: I thought he was gonna cry Hee Hee-God Love him for Loving Timex!

Oh PS Sorry-Here's what I found hee hee!

The Tudor is working wonderfully and keeps perfect time, While it does need a crown ( I have the Original OYSTER Crown for this) and The Chronographe Starts and Stops (as I assume Needs a good Cleaning)

Thanks Nabco!

And Skip........No I didn't rob the old people again hee hee!

I enjoy the old markets as we; just in the last past 3 years I think here; have Legally adopted Sunday Shopping (big Malls, Groceries; and of course: BOOZE hee Hee) Prior to that the Flea Markets were the thing to do-Now the Big Box Stores are killing them! Greedy B@stards-Should have just opened the Groceries and Booze stores IMHO

Thanks Scot and Gregger. Gonna Clean them up as much as I can The Tudor will be relatively Inexpensive as I have the Crown on the way (well, bought a lot of 5 origional Oyster Patent Crowns 1 gold-4 stainless for a deal I couldn't pass up)

And looking at the pics of that Sultana Landeron Chrono-Looks Like a Mainspring issue now? Anyway I will keep my nose to the grindstone on that-Not gonna go Crazy on them! Maybee new Crystals and a good Clean all over and have them running well-Besides-They look pretty rugged with character and a story!

Thanks OA and PAX, I think the stories are better than the items themselves sometimes on our WIS journeys!

Great find!  Enjoy!

Could that be a 248 Landeron in the Chrono?  Great movement!

If that Tudor has a 390 Rolex movement, you have bought a jewel.
