Time for an update of avatar and incomings. The avatar is my black 58 click LM-7. The bracelet is a Hadley Roma heavy metal bracelet from our friends at WatchPrince. Top deal - great value bracelet. First pic below shows the brushed/polished links - which I think are a great combo for this watch.

The pics that follow are of my new Zeno bullhead. I find that I am putting a lot of my watches on Omega mesh all the time now (yes, I know - it really is sacrilege mistake.gif) , and this is no exception - apart from the fact that the bullhead has a straight top springbar, and a very curved bottom springbar, which necessitated a little "manipulation" of the mesh to get it to fit  . All in all - great comfy combo and a crazy accurate watch - this is about a month old, now, and is running at +6 seconds a day tested in 4 positions.

I love the result - hope you guys and gals do, too.

Cheers all!

Hi guys - forgot to say that:

JD - your taste in bullheads is great!  :)  I really do enjoy wearing the Zeno and it does not "catch" even on French cuffed shirts...  but I do let the chrono second hand run a lot to avoid covering the day and date windows :?. My Val 7750 gives me about 42 hours on full wind.

Thanks Skip - I appreciate your kind words!

Teddy - that Rasmus is a darned nice one! I like that very much!

Other than that, a black Seiko SBDC001 "Sumo" arrived today - pics to come later. Initial impressions - wears a little smaller than its 45mm, but gee whiz it is nicely made and has some great casework styling features. I think a blue one of these would be nice, too hearteyes.gif

Have a great day all - it is just after 6pm here and I am going home early for the first time in about 18 months!

Thanks again for taking the time to comment!

Congratulations again, Ian hand6.gif! Great pictures, by the way ;)! I am happy to hear that the Sumo has arrived and that you are happy with it. It wears great on the wrist, doesn't it?

Enjoy your time off at home today my friend (an email to you has just been sent by me 5 minutes ago)!

all the best

Jan

Thanks JD, omegaman, tombs and Scott - the Zeno has been a great buy so far. Highly recommended for old school looks and new school accuracy! Wears light on the wrist and does not slip around like a couple of my top-heavy watches can tend to do. I think a bullhead is an interesting addition to any collection. It sure stands out in mine!

JHM - thanks my friend - an e-mail coming straight back at ya!

Have a terrific day 3Ters, and thanks again for all the kind thoughts!

Thanks for the response, Hucky.

I have the black Sumo on today, and that is a beauty, too. Exceptionally nice design and very subtle. I have watches that cost considerably more, but they don't wear as comfortably as the SBDC001. In some cases, despite their big brands, the fit and finish of some of the more costly items is inferior to this little gem. I like this one a lot.

Despite the negatives some people have or feel towards the LM-7 - I absolutely love it. She's a heavy bugger though. I still prefer the black dial to the blue, but I know of many owners who swear that it is blue or nothing. I'm keeping the 58 click nero version :D. Some aspects of the watch that few have had a long term experience to enjoy, are that it is a consistent time keeper, feels bomb-proof, and it is certainly a good way to start a conversation! I think it is the most legible watch I have. It has a quiet movement which jump starts from dead immediately you pick it up and it has a power reserve of a good 40+ hours off the wrist. It is a simple and clean face design for daily use. It looks great on leather, rubber, SS and mesh, IMHO . It'll do me.

The Zeno is a dress watch. 30m WR is not exactly shower resistant, so it will remain a dry weather alternative. But, like the LM-7 - it has a case design that is interesting (to me) and I do enjoy wearing pieces that I know I won't see everybody else wearing.  Heck - this is Australia - and watch nuts are very few and far between - I don't see ANYbody wearing watches that I buy... :? subtlelaugh.gif

Mind you - just cos its wacky doesn't mean I will buy it !! But I find that some of the latest additions to my collection veer towards "interesting" as a description  and it is part of the fun of collecting, for me.

Cheers all - and have a good day!!
