Just picked this up last thursday at a great price, brand new.  If you're ever in Singapore, you owe it to yourself to check out Mustafa Centre in Little India.  Good deals on Seikos, Citizens, Hammies, lower-end Tags and Tissots.

That big crown doesn't seem to get in the way either, and being titanium, it's large but light.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.  That bracelet is a little hard to get right..either too tight or too loose, never just nice.  I put this down to the very large links.

The perfect excuse to order a Banda Kevlar-look band which should be here in a few days, followed by pics of course!

Wanted a canteen crown for awhile, but the only other I could find in SGP was the Zeno BUSHIPS one, and that's a tad small at 32mm.

Not a huge fan of the canteen crown watches but this one certainly looks all business without the goofy (imho) dangling chain. Really nice and the ti is just a bonus keeping the weight down. Great find.party.gif

Paxman, you too?  Big bummer for me are the chains 'cos I wear the watch on my left hand, and it does get wedged in between my wrist and the watch and can be uncomfortable.

To tell the truth I have never had one on. The canteeny thingy chain just reminds me of those chains grandmas use to keep their glasses around their necks.subtlelaugh.gif

Beautiful Hamilton there...nice choice!ThumbsUp02.gif

I like the contrasting case/bezel and contrasting bracelet links (rough/polished).

Are the polished parts stainless steel or polished titanium alloy on this watch??  I have to admit, I've never seen mirror polished titanium alloy on a watch (or at least I didn't realize that it was titanium).

If it is polished titanium alloy, does anyone know how well the polished areas will hold up on a daily basis?  I thought that titanium alloys had a much lower hardness than stainless steel.

I like your watch, especially the crowned crystal and red second hand. Could lose the chain for me, though if you like it thats what matters. ThumbsUp02.gif

Nice-looking watch, JKang. I used to have an Invicta with a canteen crown and chain combination. It was ok and I enjoyed it but had to sell it to a buddy. Will check out the store you mentioned. I cross into Singapore a lot. Regards.

Hi Stew.  The polished bits are indeed titanium.  It's not really as "mirror" finish as SS; still has that slight greyish sheen.  I haven't banged it against anything yet, so no scratches for now.  Bracelet's been replaced by a more comfortable hobnail silicone deployant while I wait for my Banda "kevlar".

I am sure that Titanium will not be as hardy.  I used to have a Kinetic in titanium, and after 3 years the buckle on the bracelet isn't sandblasted.  It's just...well..blasted.

Digging thru my strap box unearthed something quite special; a dive strap off a vintage Ruhla fibreglass "bomb-disposal" (allegedly) watch.

Still, I thought it'd go great with the Frogman for that old-school UDT look.  The fact that it's pliable and comfortable doesn't go unnoticed either!
