I turn the not so big 30 in just over a week. I figured a good present to myself is a new watch. Sounds like a good idea, right? Once I figured out what I wanted, I placed my order. Today it arrived!!! So without further adieu, my 30th birthday present to myself.....

Well....even Sinner's can be forgiven....

The U1 is so, so sweet...very nice 30th B-day present.

This one is definetely on my must acquire list...someday...

I happen to love the U1 on the rubber strap...looks fantastic!!!

Thanks! This is my first watch with AR coating on the inside and outside. It really looks like the crystal is not even there! Great bang for your buck.

Thanks all!

So, I've had the watch for about a week now and after wearing it almost everyday I gotta say that I love this watch! It's awesome! I can't stop looking at the face. The AR coating is great. You can't tell there's a crystal on the watch, it's that clear! The rubber strap is comfy, but I will be getting Richard "toshi" to make me a custom strap for the deployant! Can't wait. To all of you who are thinking about getting this should!

Nice birthday present!

The red and white colors of the U1 remind me of the old-style orange-red and white checkerboard pattern used on military-base water towers.
