This is going to come in handy. I'm trying to change my addiction to food to an addiction to running. Couple of weeks ago finished a 1/2 marathon and have signed up for a couple more this year. ![]() |

Good for you. Get good shoes, and get new ones often. Rotate them too. I ran for several years and then had to quit due to a heel spur. Its about healed, so maybe I can start up again. Heel spur's take about a year to clear up. I love to run. Keeps the weight off and down. You feel great too. hand6.gif |

Thanks for the kind words. Before I started running I went to get fitted for running shoes. Found out that the kind of socks you wear are equally important. They have a saying.... Cotton is rotten. I can't say I like running as much as eating, yet. Hopefully that day will come. Unfortunately, I'm actually gaining weight. I can't seem to stop the soda and I consume more calories because I'm starving after the run. I'm guessing I will be able to figure out the food thing once I keep this going. As far as the soda....... I just have to say no. I've quit before...... But, this time I can't seem to knock the urges. Could be the added stress from a 3 month old and a 2 1/2 yo. Hope you can start running again Mcwright. Who knows... I'll probably do one of those marathons or 1/2 marathons in Phoenix. My grandmother lives in Prescott. So I do get out that way occassionally. Maybe we'll "run" into eachother. Right after I'm sure you will find me at In N Out. I mean at a health food store. ![]() |

I did about a mile and a half thursday it was in the 30's and sunny. It is really cool being out and about on a bike when no one else would dare it, or at least precious few.
