My new laptop arrved today. Its a Gateway MG1. Its got 2 gigs mem, intell dual core, 250 gig hard drive, mem card slots, wireless, burns dvds and the lables, HDMI,(whatever that is?). Also has the big 17 inch screen. Its has more crap than i will ever use. My old laptop crashed a while back and I have been using the wifes pc since then. I have a bunch of things to do like make a video and work on my lions club website to get the new shed up for this years tratcor show. Go to http://www.stoystownlions.org and check it out. I made and maintain this site. Like i said, I have to get things done for this years show. It will be so nice to sit on the lazyboy again and surf the net and do other stuff. :D Depending on how it works, windows vista may be coming off of it when the warranty is up. Heard too many horror stories.

Congrats on the new Laptop. I have 3 friends who received new Laptops for Xmas with Vista on it. All 3 had XP loaded before the new year. All 3 told me vista sucks and is a major resource hog. So all the best to ya there. ;) I'm contemplating getting a Laptop sometime. Was going to this past Xmas but was not in the mind to shop for one then. :)

Thanks Skip and Simon. I was also thinking of XP. Also been thinking of trying the MAC op system. We will see what happens. Tomorrow my computer guy is stopping by to get the wireless in the laptop to link up to the wireless network in the house. Then I can get to work.

Nice laptop, Scott. don't wait for the warranty to expire. Take VISTA off now!! It is worthless crap and I am fairly certain they will abandon it. I just got a new desktop before X-Mas with 3GB RAM and I kicked the storage up to just over a TB. I couldn't even imagine living with VISTA. BTW, the site looks great... just needs some updating!!

Thanks Pax, I know about the updating. All my web page stuff was on my old laptop and I hate the ms web page software on my wifes PC so I am getting the new computer all ready for me to update the site. I just got my new sched done this week and I also have a video to make from last years show that we are going to sell. I couldn't even imagine living with VISTA.Hey I got vista and I like it, why Mark you hurt my feelings and my dell computer fellings, wow Mark you make me feel like I don't have something special and Hi-tec, man I'm crushed Mark, really how could you say that, you should be ashamed of yourself...I think vista is cool.. I just love clicking on all the windows like about 18 of them and rolling them with mouse dial and watching them and going wow, that's after about 4 beers and hey I got vista premium too so there Mark, maybe you just don't know how to roll the pictures buddy.......

I have been using the new lt all eve now. Havent even scratched the surface yet. I tried to work on my website but I forgot all my passwords. Have to get the tech guy back here. Have to wait till mon though as he went to Pitt to be with his woman for the weekend. I'll just keep on messing with it and see what s new. He did download a movie called "superbad" I cant believe how its like watching tv. Movies pretty darn funny too. I have been using windows 98 machines for years with 256mhz processors in them. This thing is a big leap for me to say the least.
