"Bottles of Schlitz beer are seen at Sobelman's Pub and Grill in Milwaukee. That beer with the old-time mystique is back on shelves in bottles of its original formula in the city where it was first brewed more than a century and a half ago."

This is one of three beers always on hand in my parents frig. Blatz, Pabst and Schlitz. The big three when I was a kid in Michigan. :D
Nice to see they are bring it back with the original formula.

Besides Budweiser and Miller that was one of the first types of beer I started drinking way back when. LOL :D

I've always loved beer. When in the Navy I made it a point to try the local beers of every port.

We have a store here that carries allot of brands I'll have to look and see if they have it or plan to bring it in. Can't even remember the last time I had a Schlitz beer.

When I was a kid, Schlitz is what everyone drank...Bud was a distant second...and then some fool brew master changed from the original formula and sent it down the tubes!

Glad to see it's back.  Trying to remember a few other popular Chicago brands from back then...Old Style, Falstaff and Miller!

I drank Hamms Genuine Draft in college. Not bad for a cheap beer! I'll have to give Schlitz a try, I can remember my dad drinking when I was growing up in North Dakota.

For those of you who've had it, was it any good?

I remember Schlitz.  Back in the day, I was a five quart man.

Ah, all the beers of my youth...

Old Style was my high school graduating class's official beer. that's right... in Wisconsin a high school graduating class has an official beer.

Nothing could ever beat good old Point though.

In addition to Pax's favorite, I can fondly remember being "served" GRAIN BELT beer at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin many years ago. It was 3.2 beer served by the PX and it was consumed by the pitcher full. I guess it is still made now in Minnesota. I doubt Camp McCoy is still around though.

BTW, Schlitz Beer's slogan was: Go for the Gusto!
