Hey all

I was throwing the ball with my Aussies, Roxy the Blue/Black Merle female, and Turbo my Red Tri. I snapped a few pics with my cell...

Do you guys have dogs? If so, post pics here, I'd love to see themhand6.gif

Cheers! Brice

Just rescued two pups from Lucky Dog Rescue in Phoenix (a 1-year old Bichon/poodle/terrier mix) that the wife loved and a 2-year old black wire haired terrier for the boys from a great rescue agency called FAIR....they are great dogs and have become fast friends.  I am awaiting arrival of my Borzoi any day now.  He was flown to Salina, KS, but then the weather kicked in and it will be a few more days bfore they can get him here....then he goes to the farm for his service dog training....80 lb Russian Wolf Hound named Bandit!   How appropriate!

This is Brandy, from my avatar.  She died in feb 08.  She was a true companion.  We dont have kids so she was our baby.  She loved to play with the ball and Frisbee.  She and I went everywhere together.  I will miss her till the day I die.

Next is Chance, another Border Collie.  He is 8.5 years old.  He is my outside watch dog.  He was abused as a pup and was going to be put down but we rescued him. He isnt good with strangers but great with all  of us.  Here he is sitting on my 1960 JD 830.

Finally is our newest Shelby.  She is also a Border.  I wish I could get someone that was good taking action pics to photog her leeping in the air and catching the frisbee.  She is a catching machine.  She is nothing like Brandy was and we dont have the strong bond yet but, she is only 20 months old so maybe in time.  Finally got her cured of the chewing.  All in all, she is turning out to be a good dog.

Jeep...that'll make 3.  One of our rescues was put down several years ago with lympoma, my wife's Bischon was put down last Wednesday at 18+ with a stroke, and my great standard poodle-cocker mix was being treated for cancer after 15 years and had a fatal stroke last August.  It's nice to have dogs around the house again....and what's nice about the Borzoi as a service dog is I will be able to take him anywhere i want.

Edgel, that Border Collie is beautiful.  I tried to talk the boys into one but the Terrier was a lot more playful.

You must have caught that Border on a bad day Ken.  Shelby drives us nuts wanting to play all the time.  Its getting to be second nature for me to be watching tv or be on the computer and throwing her the ball at the same time.

I wish I could have 3 dogs too, but can't right now... Hoping that when the kids get older we can move and buy some land outside the city to hae plenty of animals run around!

I am sorry about the losses of the other dogs and am glad you got 3 new ones to build a relationship with. It is so amazing the joy dogs canbring to a family!:)

Cool thread Brice

We are definitely dog people...both my wife and I have always had dogs in our lives from childhood and our two kids (7 years and 9 years) love the 2 dogs we currently have.

I don't have access to pics from here...so I'll have to post some up later, but we have 2:

10 year old Vizla (Cooper)

-Hucky - love the Visla breed (although they do need their exercise!!)  At 10 years old he is definitely showing alot of white in his face unlike Hucky's Vizla Enzo!!

2 year old Beagle (Daisy) - oh boy...these dogs really are noses with legs attached...that nose tends to get them into quite a bit of mischief!!!

Below are pictures of the type of dog (Borzoi - Russian Wolf Hound) I am currently expecting.  He has been shipped from Omaha but is currently in Salina, KS due to the snows in the mountains.  He should be here late this week and will be taken to the Lundr Farm for his Service Dog training.  Mine is grey in color and currently at about 80 lbs....appropriately enough, his name is Bandit.

Here are a couple of pictures of this magnificent breed.

Sam, my hiking buddy. He's about to turn 9 months. Best dog we've ever had.

Beautiful dog....looks like a standard poodle which is one of my favorites....strong, smart, quick and non-sheeding.  Often thought to be a French breed, the Poodle was bred by the Germans as a retriever!

Thanks!

Sam is an English Golden Doodle F1B Crossback. Meaning his Mom is 50/50 English Golden Retriever and Poodle and his Dad is 100% Poodle. No shedding (so far) and he's the most "laid-back" puppy I've ever seen. Very calm and attentive.
