Peter Boyle passed away yesterday. What a loss. I watched him alot on Raymond, but I was first introduced to him while watching Young Frankenstein. Which, in my opinion, is one of the great comedies of all time. By all accounts a wonderful person. He will be missed.:(

I agree with you on all accounts..... I will always remember him as Frankenstein, stumbling upon the blind Anthony Hopkins in the woods and getting burned by the soup, and then trying to light his cigar ....his puttin on the Ritz song and dance was classic ....

Never watched an episode of "Raymond" but loved Boyle in "Young Frankenstein".  Have to agree YF is a classic and arguably Mel Brook's best. Seemed the moster with the kind soul was an extension of Boyle's own kind soul. He was fantastic in "Joe" as well.

RIP

I knew him only from "Raymond", but, damn! he was so, so good!

I was saddened by his death.  Seeing repeats of "R" won't be quite the same anymore.

I am a fan of the show ELR. I felt such a loss after hearing that he passed away. He was a wonderful comedic actor and played such a hilarious role on the show. he will be sadly missed
