Ok, summer is in full swing. There are lots of color choices these days other than black and brown (for both sexes) for watch bands/straps. Everything from purple to bright white in fabric, leather and rubber. My guestion is:

What strap color would you not be caught dead wearing?
:D

I would have no problem wearing a strap of any of those colors. I would even wear a pink dialed watch but not sure about a pink strap. :D

I forgot about Pink. With O and KC wearing Pink dialed watches (and lord knows what else in pink  :D) that color just escaped me. :D

Aside from the absurd (pink/purple) I can't/won't wear a red strap...face4.gif

hehehe - good question!

I voted against white, and pink.

I can't vote against purple cos I have a purple rubber Ploprof strap that came from Ocean7, and I quite like it..... just haven't got anything that I can wear that looks good with it ;)

Guess I am too conservative...

Have a mate in Italy right now - tells me that everyone there is wearing white straps this summer. I just shook my head and cried

Cheers all! IanM

I was in Italy a few weeks ago. I saw LOTS of colorful watches and watch straps. The store windows are full of colorful watches. Much more so than here.

My wife saw a green strap in a Jeweler window she had to have. It was a tiny little shop. When we went in, the Jeweler pulled out at least a dozen large binders filled with all kinds of watch straps. I couldn't believe the selection he had. Gobs of leather straps. Every color in the rainbow, including white. :D

No white straps, or purple either :P

I have green on my vintage Bulova Accutron Spaceview, and blue on my Vostok-Europe.  Everything else is black, brown or steel :D

Cheers,
Griff

Ken-
If you liked Mike's, you really ought to like your fave colors on your fave watches!

Absolutely disgusting subtlelaugh.gif...and yet, I've always said that the Lupah is the only watch I've ever seen that looks better in pictures  than in person! mistake.gif

I only said 'no' to purple.  Simply because I haven't seen a nice looking purple strap to go on anything.  I would wear a purple-ish watch though (the Bathy's UV PVD comes to mind).

Being 'into' G Shocks, colors don't really bother me.  I have a couple of all-white watches too :D.  The right watch can look good in just about any color.

A Paul Newman Edition Rolex Daytona on a red dial with white registers on a burgundy leather strap looks quite decent.
I've seen one years ago but it wasn't for sale.

Wow ! A vintage 1960's Seiko Lord Matic...Hard to find watch.

From what I've remember about this particular watch was that it was
rated at 21,600 bph with Quickset Mechanism,a fully functioning hacking movement that can be manually wound.

It was Seiko's answer to the Swiss Movements of the same vintage.

You are right on this Simon hand6.gif! Took some time to find it and it is not in perfect state. Well, it is about 40 years old, so it wears its' scratches with pride ;)!

all the best

Who cares about a few scratches, for a 40 year old watch to be working perfectly is
all that matters.
