Hi all,

New to to this forum, so first a brief introduction. I'm from Holland and currently own an Orsa Sea Angler (Orange) Bought it pre-owned and am very pleased with it.

So looking for a new watch for the summer I stumbled into the Orsa Monstrum and liked it immediately. In fact I won an auction of one on eBay, from user "orsawatchco". Does anybody here know this guy? His eBay-reputation seems fine, and actually I figured this was the guy behind Orsa himself.

However: I won the auction ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=230217146840 ) on February 5th, made payment immediately through PayPal but haven't heard from seller ever since. I sent him a message a few days ago, but no reply whatsoever... I'm starting to get worried.

Does anybody here know this seller? And can anybody reassure me? :)

You have no reason to worry, Berg the owner is a responsible guy, he was coming to Los Angeles on vacation, so he may still be on Holiday.

He also has a full time job and sometimes gets a little busy with his Real Job and His Watch Hobby.

Dont sweat it, your in good hands.

Of course I can't wait to receive my package, but I guess I will have to excercise some more patience... ;)

No need for worries. You will get your Monstrum soon enough, and you will love it!!

So many times with eBay I never hear a word from the seller and the package magically arrives.

I am in the same boat... I purchased a Monstrum from Orsa's Ebay auction on Jan 28th and have yet to receive the watch. However, I did receive this response to my inquiry of the delay:

Dear jdbuckwell,

jd
your watch was shipped last monday , it was shipped late because you bought your watch when i was out of town , i came back the feb the 1st , very sorry for the delay . hotmail is down right now , soon i get access , i will send you the tracking no.

Though I am not pleased with how long this has taken to receive an Ebay purchase, (which should be within a week, unless otherwise stated), I am pleased with the reviews I've read regarding this watch. I actually purchased a yellow Monstrum two days ago... now I'm wondering which one will get to me first--haha!

Bottom line--There is no record of a bad watch, or a failure to ship from Orsa, so hang in there.

Sometimes, Berg over-commits his time, but he is as honest as the day is long and his products rock!yourock.gif

Right on Ken, but I cannot help it Ken, I just dig tell in this story.......So here goes.....I pm Berg, I need spring bars for my Orsa strap (for the buckle) on my Silver Surfer, Berg tells me Teddy their on there way, instead I get lug bolts, so I pm Berg back, tell him cool I will take the bolts but I still need the spring bars still,...Man this is my favorite part of the story.....So Berg says no forget the spring bars Teddy I'm sending you a whole new Orsa strap.  Man what that save me $30.00 bucks.  Berg will take care of you.  It sucks waiting, but man it's worth the wait.....Concrat's Snooker and JD on your in-coming Monstrums

Well I got a reply from Martin, he has been sick in bed for the last week, so he had some delay in shipping items. Get well soon, Martin!

I ordered my Orsa Jan 14th...

Waiting for arrival...An Email from Orsa said it would take 15 days to ship...

It's the other 15 days that concerns me.

Well welcome to 3T. Why not use our PM system to contact Berg directly and inquire as to when your Monstrum was shipped? Its safe to say this is is home base. Remember he has a real life too and has been down sick.

Well, the green Beast has finally arrived! After more than seven weeks (I guess it went across the Atlantic pond in a rowing boat...)

Martin was already planning on sending out a second watch, because we were afraid it had gone lost somehow. But just when we agreed he would ship a new one (and this time by FedEx), the mailman arrived at my doorstep with the Canada Post package! I'm a happy chap!

Thanks Martin for your cooperation! :)

Hmm, I've had similar unexplicable delays with lug screws - 4 weeks and counting and I'm in Canada; like the old song said: things that make you go, hmmmm
