Well! Here we are with some new pics: Last time I showed some big cod pics and I was asked: Where was the watch??? Hehehe! Took this 24 lbs cod this weekend and had to take some shots with my Certina DS3 I was wearing this time....Enjoy!toon1.gif
PS: Pics was made right after midnight like you can see on the watch so the light is a little lower than mid-day...

Wow, Hammerfjord! That's a nice, big one (I meant the fishsubtlelaugh.gif). What was your rig? Live bait used? Trawled? Man oh man! Landing a 24 pound cod is no joke. How are you cooking it? Send me sometoon1.gif.

If you look closely, the cod is staring at your watch and skunk;).

Congrats on the big one!

Thanks! Well, I had a big rod and my girlfriend had a smaller rod with a hook for salmon: It bited on the salmon hook! So I helped her so pull it out slowly and smartly....Just came like a sweet baby in the boat!;)
We just cut the filets and put them in the oven with spiceshand6.gif

Nicecool10.gif. My sons are better anglers than me. I always have the bigger rod, the better rig. But they always land their limit for the day well ahead of memistake.gif. So guess who does the cleaning????;)

Try wrapping the fillets in aluminium foil, coat them with some olive oil, coat them in some spices and lemon, throw them down the oven and you'll have the best fish with the Glenmorangie, amigo!!! Cod practically melts when you open the alu.hand6.gif

That's what I've done: Putted them in a bag with olive oil, salt and pepper-mix during 2 days...toon1.gif
The meat stay very strong still: That's the nature of this special cod who usually migrate between outer Lofoten islands and the Barent sea.
