So many ask me to make the tip on the Moray second hand in orange.
Now, I can do this but than on all second hands (except the skeleton from dial #5)
Let me know what you think .
I think it can be a nice touch on every watch, not only the one with orange minute.
 Regards Ralf

Is it true you'll give us 2 bezels? can we see a mock up?

Thanks Ralf!

I would look great with the orange minute hand, but for the white hands, I would prefere the all while/black look.  I think it would look more classy that way.

I think it should be made an option.  At this point there are so many conversations buried deep in other threads about so many variations that I believe I might not end up with the watch I intended to buy in the first place.

I cannot offer as an option sorry

only yes or no

I think there are enough options 6 dials and 4 case finishes

and the orange minute option

If I also offer the orange tip as an option I can search for a new factory.

They accept the actual options but not more

I like the orange, but is there a way to make it a slightly darker orange than my Sea Devil? It is a very light orange, I like the orange Doxa uses on it's hands, more of a darker fluorescent orange. Just a suggestion.

It is true that I will offer a extra bezel with a black inlay
It is not include and you cannot choose, you can only order separately and I hope it will be ready  same time as the Moray I don't know the exact price but it will be about $30
I don't have mock up yet  but I will keep you updated

Ralf,

Would this be the only option on the stealth model? Though it might add some contrast, what drew me to that model was the total stealth look, this might throw it off??

Ralf, I like the idea of orange myself but also like the idea of going darker.  The pics I've been looking at of the Sea Devil look great.  However, from the way the pics look I might personally like the orange a little darker.  Might even go better with the vintage theme a little darker.

On the other hand, I hope to one day, but have not yet handled a Sea Devil in the flesh.  Perhaps there is a chance that I would think differently after seeing the orange in person.  I think you can make the best decision on this one.

I would agree with Newton13.  To change the hand colors after the orders have been placed (deposits) is really doing a disadvantage to the people that picked the white/black hands for the clean look.  I for once did not want to have any orange on any part of the watch as I am a little tired of that look.  For the guys that ordered the orange hand, I would have to say a little bit more orange won't matter, but especially the guys that ordered the stealth version might be disappointed to see the orange on the watch....

Please don't change this now!

I would agree that those people that did not order an orange minute hand should not be forced to have an orange tipped second hand.

I would only have the orange tipped second hand if there is an orange minute hand.

I voted for orange second hand, but I might change my vote if the orange second hand is only possible if all the watches have it. If it is a case of all or none, then I think none would be the correct answer. If only the orange minute hand watches can have the orange second hand then I would vote for that.

I've got deposits on two Morays and neither will have orange minute hands.  While an orange tipped seconds hand will not ruin this one for me, it sure won't make me like it any better...:?

No worry I will not change the hands without permission from all who have pre ordered.

I only wanted to hear your opinions and if everybody would cry YES MAKE IT
I would do

About 20 percent from the pre orders want a orange minute hand so we can say it is the minority.

If the hands factory is willing to make only a few  with orange tip we will assemble them on the watches with orange minute.
If not, everything will stay like it is

Who did not order a orange minute will not get a orange tipped second

I hope that is ok

NO THANKS.

Orange on seafoam blue is likely to clash or look like Miami Dolphins NFL .

I agree -- in particular the SEAFOAM BLUE DIAL NO. 4 -- I think it will look quite awful actually.  Yellow might work on SEAFOAM BLUE... but orange...eeek!  I really don't want to wear a watch that looks like Miami Dolphins Team Colors.

Orange on Green could be another tragedy.  RED or Yellow would be better on green dial.

Just my opinion.mistake.gif

Ha ha, I am no Dolphins fan, but I think it will look cool. Then you could highlight either the orange or blue with stitching in the watch band.

What would be the cutoff date (or approx time) if one chooses to change the minute hand color and will any of the samples have the orange min hand? TIA

Green Dial for me with Orange Minute, I'm keeping with this tradition on all my Benarus watches, this makes the 3rd, It's either available that way or I'll pass on the purchase, and want a refund. Red on Green seems a bit like Xmas, but thats why we have options, you get for the most part what you want or pass on buying it, and if the second hand doesn't come tipped in orange, I'll paint it myself no biggie. Seems like the vote is almost 2-1 pro orange tip second hand for now. I guess the option for all polished hands remain for the Green dial as well....Dan

Ralf,

I should have read your message more carefully ...

"Who did not order a orange minute will not get a orange tipped second"

I apologize for causing any confusion, or ruffling in second hands in the process. I will stick with the plain hands.

sorry, missed this whole thread, but I read some people saying "White Hands" I believe the hand for the moray are polished metal, or black. (orange minute as option)

someone else said they are confused with all the options... please visit the model selector that I built for you to figure out these options...It will even tell you what time it is if you need that information as well.

Another vote for no orange tip.  I've got a seamaster pro with an orange tip on the second hand and it's not that noticeable.  I would think if going this route, you would want the whole hand colored (like on the sea devil) but adding just the tip would not be bold enough to make a real difference in the positive but might spoil an otherwise clean look.
