Cool Pics!!!!

I looked online for a Fossilized Megalodon tooth large enough to display the watch on.....not cheap! $500 plus bucks, and that would take away from my watch fund for the year! Guess I will have to display it on my wrist!

I love number 3 pic! The ice with the Megalodon on top looks sharp looks sharp! What kind of skin is your coat....

I'm still waiting for my Meg to arrive...it has been sitting in customs since the 13th. The USPS does not seem to be in any hurry. I hate this waiting game!

Hehehe, no, I don't make my own scotch: I buy it and use some drop of this water inside. Been drinking some Bruichladdich 2001 this weekend: Nobody beat the Scotishs on scotch whisky and I will never dare me there:D

I can't drum up any sperm whale teeth or seal fur around here (man...like DJRHodes71 said...you must be the original survivorman!!!)...cool10.gif

Like others said...love the 3rd pic down with your Mega on those unique ice crystal formations...very nicely done!!!ThumbsUp02.gif

It's a waiting game for the arrival of my 2nd hand Meg.....But as soon as I receive it I'll try to come up with something creative, take a few pics and post. Too bad it is not camping season, I go 3-4 times in the spring/summer for 5-7 days in the wild. I can get some good pics then.

Hammerfjord pics really show the spirit of the meg IMHO. Big, Bold, Tuff and Classy!

thankyou.gifPersonally, my favorite is the #4 when the watch hang on an ice pick, because it's an unusual shot. I was a bit nervous while taking the shot that the watch hook-off , fall , break the thin ice under and go down the fjord a half meter deep: I didn't feel like puting my arm in the water and search for it:D

Thanks man! There's thousand of possibilities with the winter if you got some ice or snow outside also: I was thinking about taking some shots with the watch half-bading in icy water to but I'll maybe do it next time...It was enough shots and I also should let the place to the others here;)

Thanks! Yes, they are sperm-whale teeth: Real ones all of them. The Norwegian whalers was fishing/hunting the sperwhales until 1972(If I don't mistake) and those teeth are from this time. We fish/hunt other whales now who are smaller and got no teeth : The Minke-whales. It happen actualy in waters not so far from where I live...
We got killer-whales also but they are protected.
Sperm-whale colonies can be observed not so far from where I live, near a big island: Andøya.

Great looking pictures.  Just out of curiosity, how much do seal fur coats cost cause I've never seen one.  Or did you hunt down the seal yourself by knocking it out with your Megadolon?

To answer correctly: It depend also of the skins quality as seals fight and some skins miss hair-lines(like scars). A clean skin is more expensive...
Also some fur paterns are more expensives: Like mine.
In Norway the seal is with spotted fur.
Mine is Ringed-seal from Groenland(spots in ring pattern) and first quality skins.
It needed 7 skins to make my anorak(I am 1.90cm for 100kg) and it was custom-made for me, on my desires, by a professional with long experience(who is a friend)
Cost: 2800$(depend of change rate)

Wow thats pricy but it does look pimp! I dont even think its legal to own something like that in the US.

If you take good care of it, it last so many years that the divided year-price is really worth it: In other words, it's an investment.
It may look pimp when you hang around with that in a big town as soon there is a cold breez but it look utilitar when you use it in the cold in Alaska or any polar region like where I live.
It's an excellent repellent for snow and melted snow(sludge).
It's also one of the best breathable and isolator natural material and one don't feel uncomfortable in it in the cold.
Many coutries(All EU in fact) have banished the use of seal products even the seal isn't disappearing.
It will soon be the source of a seal overpopulation in some regions. The seal eat offcourse a lot of fish and decrease the fishing possibilities for us in some territories where they are concentrated in colonies.
In Norway, we shoot seals with special expending bullets, also rifles and charges have to got demanded specs: No other methods are allowed for hunting or "executing".
