Hi all, I have been lurking for a few weeks trying to gather information to help guide the purchase of my first automatic watch. I have found a lot of helpful information in this forum. Now that I know a little more than next to nothing, I thought I would introduce myself. Currently I am without a single watch after my casio met an untimely end (my fault, involved some lead weights from a dive belt) and my quartz citizen decided to just die. That's more than a little bit sad. I am considering the purchase of two watches, one for everyday wear and one for diving (more on that later as I will post a plea for advice in the general watch forum). Right now my addictions are reef keeping, diving, soccer, parrots, sighthounds, and wine/scotch. Maybe I should call them interests…. David

Welcome to 3T, David. Sounds like you are in the market, no? Since you mentioned you're interested in reef keeping you should probably have a Reef Ranger...![]() Comes in other colors, but as a diver surely you must have the orange...

Thanks Paxman and Skipdawg! I appreciate the quick welcome. I have indeed considered the Boschett's. Do you think I can convince my wife I need one to tell time through the fish tank while I am rearranging corals and doing tank maintenance? "But baby I need to tell time so I can accurately match dawn and dusk cycles on my lights so my corals and fish are happy! And it's called a reef ranger, I mean come on!" Maybe I need to come up with something more convincing... Oh, and I have posted my questions to the general forum David Last edited on Sun Jun 22nd, 2008 02:29 pm by cabrerad |

David...welcome to 3T...and of course you can convince your wife...the question is always, "Would you rather be right, or would you rather be married?" :D
