Greetings from windy Colorado, USA.  I've recently been diagnosed with a chronic case of watch fever, which was a surprise given my advanced age of 45.  I happened across your board, and I felt compelled to join.  I've enjoyed learning from your posts, and look forward to learning more over time.

My stats:
  • Married
  • Father of four (meaning limited watch budget...)
  • Hospital administrator
  • Minnesota native, but Colorado transplant since 1994
  • Current inventory:
    • Hamilton Khaki Automatic
    • Invicta Malaga Automatic
    • Movado Museum
    • Zodiac Sea Dragon
    • Seiko Eco-Drive Diver (beat to ribbons, but a great watch...best place for replacement crystal?)
    • Seiko SNK809 military automatic (coming in mail with Bond Nato strap)
    • Accutron sv-200 (Pepsi bezel, ordered yesterday thanks to the excitement generated on this site)
I'll post pictures when the two new watches come in, and when I figure out how to hook up my digital camera to the computer.

Question...I want to get a diver-type watch for my 14-yr old son.  Any recommendations on an affordable diver with a smaller case?

Thanks,

Erik

Beautiful family you have. 4 kids (good luck).

Erik good to have you and a big welcome to 3T.  Seiko Monster you might want to consider for your son, just a thought.

Teddy:

My son is slow to grow and is skinny as a rail.  I was concerned that a Monster would look like he had a clock on his wrist.  I was thinking along the lines of a smaller military model, or maybe a smaller (37?) diver.

Thanks though,

Erik
