I like the rough look…Seems like a piece that will take it all in the face without blinking. Ok, the case is proudly made in Germany: Great thing but the dial is a bit empty down there: "Made in…?"

Agree with Herr Philipp. Robust case for sure. Bezel and dial work well. I love the big, fat hands....easy to tell time at night. Agree with the Sheriff. Where is this made? Safe to assume it's made in Germany?

exc-hulk wrote:Thanks for update Jeff ! The point is not where the case is told to be made: This is very clearly told in the description and I´ve been reading it like everybody. My point was: Since it don´t stands on the down dial, where it´s "Made-in-?" ? Or should I be more precise: Where is it assembled then? And why the dial is empty down there? Because since the Vortex generation, all watches had the "Made in Germany" stamp down the dial: But the Maya don´t...

If memory serves, the MAYA isn't the first DIEVAS that lacked the "MADE IN GERMANY" on the face, and some of us voiced our discontent with that then. Anders makes those decisions, as he should. If ya don't like it, don't buy it. Frankly I'd like to see it on there, but I can't afford one given my current situation, so my opinion counts for squat! lol

IMHO first thing first is not easy to made the dial because Maya is a anti-magnetic watch, and the anti-magnetic include the dial. This may contribute to why Ander decided not to include the " Made In Germany " on Maya. This is actually a painful decision in term of marketing the watch.

This may contribute to why Ander decided not to include the " Made In Germany " on Maya. The anti-magnetic dial would be a dial with a double layer of soft iron under the normal dial or a dial fully made in anti-magnetic material: Nothing else… What ever you write on the dial concerns the first layer or the surface of the dial and is anyway only a paint job which has nothing to do with the anti-magnetism property. Any anti-magnetic metal can receive a full paint job. If you can write "antimagnetic" on the dial, you can certainly write "Made in Germany" I was more pointing at the fact that Anders might didn´t get it printed because the watch might be assembled in another country than Germany. Now I don´t know why and how but it don´t seems like Anders is decided to point out the final reason since I believe that he read his own forum corner at 3T. He might also not connect any deep interest in what is written on the dial…After all, it´s a matter of opinion and need.

the dial can be made anywhere in the world and has no bearing on a anti magnetic case, nor whether Made in Germany is on the dial...and personally I see no difference if the watch was assembled in Germany or by Anders German watchmaker in his shop in Singapore since there are no regulations or laws being enforced on Made in Germany to begin with, what is important is the quality of the craftsmanship and the integrity of the brand and I know Anders has delivered that since day one.![]()
