Could not figure out how to post the new Lum-tec watch shown on Oceananic Time so grabbed this off the web site.
This new $800 watch has a Seiko? Sii whatever movement
in it. Is this not the same movement in many Invictas that sell for $70?

Please edumacate me crazy.gif

Tony, while I'm not sure which Invictas you're talking about, I did run a Google search and came up with a little info. The NH35 is an upgraded version of the NH25. It's a low beat rate movement of 21.600. It is an auto movement w/hand winding, hack set and quickset date. I believe Lum-Tec is using this movement as a quality alternative to the Miyota 9015. It seems the 9015 is in much demand and on back order. Hope this helps ThumbsUp02.gif

I agree with Murphy...That's what I found too.
This mvt is in the subs 0420 "à la Rolex" from Invicta who are selling for peanuts.
Here Oscar's neighbourg sells one on the Bay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/INVICTA-0420-PRO-DIVER-TITANIUM-AUTOMATIC-LUMINOUS-WATER-SCRATCH-RESISTANT-WATCH-/330657719858?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item4cfcbc6632#ht_739wt_1146
Or maybe it's Oscar? Hehehe, just kiddingsubtlelaugh.gif
I would gamble hard that it's a Seiko mvt fully made/assembled in Singapore or HK something like that.
Compare to the 9015 from Miyota, I would say that it's a VERY cheap replacement! No thanks.
Give me your 800buks Tony, I will use them in a much much better way!!

Exactly Gumba. With an ETA they would be in the range. There designs are not ground breaking but are handsome. But come on that movement probably costs less than an 8215, even with the handwind and hacking. JMHO of course.

I have liked alot of Lum-tecs designs but always felt they were a bit pricey for what you get.Your mileage may vary.

Because they are assembled in Ohio man!
The air is so pure and thin there that movements never rust and the rotor spin faster when encapsulated in it

Totally agree. The only thing that has kept me from trying a Lum-tec is the movements they use. Very pretty watches (even if the cases are a bit generic) but the movements kill it for me.

Hehe, William, you're a bit hard on yourself: The 6497-2 (the modified version you have) may be sold high price by Panerai, I agree, but is still worth much more than 45 bukssubtlelaugh.gif
