So what then, is your explanation for the shift in seasons?? Like it or not Global Warming is real...

Sorry PAx, I don't believe the global warming crap....it's based on junk science. Why are the polar caps on mars melting???? Same as earth it's called the sun   :D
No need to apologize, Gregg... it ain't gonna make or break me...

I could care less about Mars... I don't live there.

I don't know all the science behind it, but junk or not, if the average temperature of the planet rises... that's global warming, no?

The earth's temperature may in fact be rising (although it's some small number like 0.5 degrees over the past half century), so, in an english class, this would rightly be called 'global warming.'  But, the enviro-types have taken this term and given it a new meaning -- that is, we are causing this global warming ... That is simply not true.   As others have rightly pointed out, the temperatures of Mars and other planets have also increased - and they don't have man-made CO2.  Even here on earth, we are seeing record colds - here in Toronto for example, where it's the coldest April on record.  Similar incidents have happened all over North America this year - Washington had to cancel a global warming conference last month due to a snow and ice storm! :)

Fanatical environmentalism has become the new communism; the new ideal for those on the extreme left.  Global warming - Al Gore et al - has absolutely nothing to do with science; it's all about politics, power and money.

"it's all about politics, power and money."        Its always about polotics, power and money ..... ego's take over where common sense fails .... I would'nt say conservationists are communist though ... I believe it would take mother nature about a hundred years to wipe out all the harm humans have done  ( that is if we were wiped off the face of the Earth)

Griff I have the same Shock!!!
I love this watch, it has taken a direct hit from a drumstick, banged off of PA stacks and racks and shows barely a scratch.  Plus no batteries, never has to be set, and I got it for a steal on the 'Bay smile8.gif

How much have you ended up with down your way Greg?  We measured 6" an hour or so ago.  My back is killing me, the stuff weighs a ton!

Cheers,
Griff

Lets see, My Aunt told me that they got 14' of snow in Upstate New York in one storm this season, much like they did in the 1950's, When I left the Florida Panhandle on Saturday it was in the 40's, Atlanta  dropped below freezing on Sunday when I flew out,  Yep it has got to be the Global warming,  Glad my watch has me covered to -40C.  cool10.gif

Well, my lawnmower and my cars burn so clean that It would take them all  running non-stop for 1000 years at red-line to compete with what the factories in Asia spew out in 1/100,000 of a Second.

We sure are having a huge impact on reducing Global warming,

By the way anyone want to buy some Carbon credits, I will cut you a great deal just as soon as the ink dries on the Certifcates, common do your part it is for the Children...... but I will only sell them in exchange for currency backed by gold or silver.

I digress

Ball Chrono for me,

I have that big rectangle Diplomat in the white dial, and had the director. I sold the director but the Monacos and the Diplomat are not leaving! I can put the silly Diplomat on and not take it off for anything!
