What do you do after the watch case has been opened.

Test the seals.  Here are some results that were done on the ALC 2000 Leak test.  One watch was the Corum Trapeze that I purchased from O which just got a major overhaul and one was an Ocenaut Conquistador that also got a lot tender loving care.  Both watches got a new winding spring and total service.  We upgraded the springs but I forgot which ones we used.

Funny you post this today Eric.....I dont have the ability to scan, but I just got the 1000m Autozilla back from service and it to was tested with the following results

Sampling time: 60 out of 60 seconds

Test Pressure: 19.745 Bar

Initial Strain: -036.2 um

Strain trend: -002.0%um/Minute

Test passed

Not sure how this differs from yours, maybe you can explain the different method used and educate usThumbsUp02.gif Thanks for the always informative posts.

For mine the pressure test was -.3 and +3 bars.  That is in a vacuum and also in compressive pressures.

Deformation was the amount of flex in the case

Tightness value same as strain trend is the % Micrometers per min of deformation.

Strain is the same as deformation, the amount of strain an object exhibits with a given stress (force, pressure, etc).

Look up stress strain curves and that may explain material interaction a little better.

Hucky

Oh yah, and I always notice they for some reason they always put extra  parts inside the case, cause there always seems to be at least 1 extra part on the work bench.
