There is a Fortis Spacematic with display back at the watch seller for $550, or watch the Watch show on Shopathome tv.com and see if they have any of the Oceanauts marked down tonight.  Show is starting now!!!

I would suggest..............patience!  Or, if you are in a hurry to get a watch before you dribble that away, you might look for a Victorinox Swiss Army 9G-600, Valjoux 7750.  Great watch and with some searching can be found for less than $450.

No question about my pick. I'd be emailing Marc at Island Watch for a Marcello C Nettuno Diver in Blue. The 300 meter version. Comes in black or silver too. Marc has "value pays" on this brand. So, you can get a super quality watch and not have to go to a shopping channel to get it.  cat28.gif

The Marcello C diver is #1 on my list. woohoo.gif

I agree with Ken in that patience is the key. There is no reason you need to pop immediately unless you are looking for a Christmas watch.

For that money you can get a Tisstot Seastar 1000 if you like a diver. If used you would have mucho dinero left over.

For about $100 more you get get into a Marcello from Marc at IW. Ask the fellas... they'll tell you its a hell of a watch.

Steinhart, O&W, Zodiac, Mido all offer nice Swiss made divers in your range.

Eric's suggestions are nice too...

You might pick up a used Oris.

Give it a day or two and you'll find your watch through gestalt...

Yamahaki also makes a good case...

Personally, I would opt for the Marcello from Marc who even offers stretch pays... hey wait a minute... I just DIDN"T spend $630. too

Don't forget to troll elitledealseeker...

 JMHO...

What was up with the Tissots for resale is that so many guys bought them in a short span because it was the HOT watch ... It is a hellova bargain for the $ spent ....but it became sort of common to own one ....now it has cooled off and the fact remains ...you would be hard pressed to find the features and quality for that money.... There are many choices to mull over ...let it all sink in ...it is part of the fun looking and looking again, and then to make your final decision

I always liked that Tissot 1000 in blue.  Then again the silver and black arn't bad.:?I will swing by the local TJ Max, and take a looksey. Last time around there were some nice buys, and the wife told me to go ahead and get one. But I was saving for the Whale of a watch that never materialized.

I was leaning towards the blue tissot, but that silver is eye catching. I do have to admit that I am madd at all of you. In the begining I did not like doxa's. I could not see what you guys saw in it. But now I am starting to like them alot! And there TO MUCH $$$ for what I have. I may have to hold off on purchases for a while and save for one.:? Thanks alot gentlemen.LOL.

The watchseller.com has some every so often and like new in box even for less than $1000, that doesn't suck.  That is about 66% of original cost and that is about right.

I have to agree with CJ... take your time and have some fun with it. If you really want the Doxa hold out and keep dumping what you can into your watch account... I'm with Mr. Bartlett in that I think for where you're ducats are right now, the Marcello just kicks ass... JMHO!!

Have fun with it...
