Elysee Pilot,  JohnnyP I got mine and sold it the same day.  I liked the watch just am a little more ruff some times then I should be.  It is Teflon it will scratch the best is done in China believe it or not.  I guess due to the cooking industry.

I have bought plenty of watches haven't had any regrets, well beside Inflicta but they were cheap.  But this one is the biggest waste of money I've ever done. It's not worth buying.:XJMO!!!

I just received this Trias from Ken C. I wasn't too thrilled by it at first but after a couple strap changes, I decided on this combo. I like it well enough now to wear today!

Get it replated and move it.  It can not cost much just to do the Bezel.  Some Co. are taking the easy way out, with some of the finishes and that will bite you in the a**,  on a high end watch.  The Co. that is doing the plating makes all of the diff..  You are use to Industrial finishes, prof. cooks seldom use Teflon coated pans for that reason.  Even Kobold had some flake that is a real issue on a $5000+ watch. Hope you get it worked out.

I learned of this forum after getting this Trias from IW a few days ago.

It's my first manual wind and it's pretty fun to wind it every morning.

I regulated it (don't know if I did it right:?) so that it now runs +2s/day:).

Very nice..............and if you have it running at +2.........you did it right! :)

As an arguable point, I have always been told that the term "regulate" as it applies to watches has to do with consistancy on a daily basis. The term "adjust" as it applies to watches has to do with the accuracy of the watch. Therefore, if a watch is not consistant on a daily basis, it must be "regulated" first; then it is "adjusted" for accuracy to get it within the smallest margin of error possible.

Thanks Crowe...........as you know, I generally don't like Chronos much, but this one has a pretty clean looking and very readable dial.....also the alarm subdial, can be used as a GMT or second time zone!  I've had this for about 7 years!

For what it is worth the thing that you are adjusting is a  regulator that is mounted on the balance bridge that has small pins that the hairspring passes through.  Moving the regulator changes the amount of slack in the hairspring making the watch run faster or slower.  I have never found that much conformity in this industry, I guess a lot depends on who you worked under.

I hear ya', and I hate the unkind experience you are having with your PVD...but it is a tool watch and unless you plan on unloading it post haste, it is gonna take more shots!! Experience like yours with DOXA are becoming too common and will cost them potential and repeat customers like you and me.
this is unfortunate because they do make a fine watch ( I have expereienced none of the crown problems I've hear of) and have the potential for great things should they get off their arse and starting acting hungry...

All the best and don't sweat the dings...they add character for a toll watch...
