My Cave Dweller II arrived this morning amidst rainy skies and wet weather to brighten up my day...and that it did!....TY Keith for the quick and perfect CS! ...here are a couple quick wrists shots while dodging raindrops!thankyou.gif

.....The Cave Dweller II is a much awaited rendition of it's ealier sister for those who missed out on the quickly Sold Out and ever popular among dive watch afficianados 1st edition and this CD II is as Awesome with the addition of a deeper grooved bezel, multiple dial colors, case finishes and the addition of an eta 2824-2 ...not to forget the very sweet new divers clasp with quick set extension! hand6.gifhand6.gif

....Lume is once again superior as is the fit & finish...even under dreery skies the CD II shines ...a perfect example of form, aesthetics and function improved on with the help of WIS/members! perfect.gif

Oscar....congrats and thanks for posting!!!ThumbsUp02.gif

This is the exact combo I've been waiting to see!!!!....with the combo PVD/steel bezel (although now that I look in the Boschett section, I see Keith posted up some more pics of the CD II which I missed).

That grey dial is definitely on my radar in either the PVD/steel bezel or all PVD....

Very nice!!!

TY Guys!....the CD II came out perfect and with the addition of the new divers clasp it is even better imho...no need for half links  with the micro adjustable buckle...with just a push of the rear button you have 5 more adjustments to suit any need from wetsuit to just loosening it up a bit for those whose wrist size changes with the weather! perfect.gif

....and inside beats the heart of a top grade eta 2824-2 with Incabloc shock, glucydor balance and ball bearing rotor held in place with a nice metal retainer....lume again is awesome! hand6.gifhand6.gif

O - I accepted a CD V1.0 as a trade a while back, and the lume on that one was not what I would call "super duper". Can you let us know if the CD V2.0 is better in that regard? I did read further up in your second post that you consider the V2.0 to have "awesome" lume - but how does it rate against that old standard the Seiko Monster? Your opinion would be appreciated.

Otherwise, that combo is a winner. Would also love to see it with the SS bezel and that magnificent gray dial, too!

Cheers! IanM hand6.gif

I have a first gen Cave Dweller. I found that it took a few "charges" for the lume to come up to full brightness. Now I'd have to say it's pretty close to my Seikos for brightness, although it does not surpass them.

Oscar, enjoy your CD2. I've got the Miyota version of your watch on order - now that you have yours, I'm hoping mine is on its way to me...

TY everyone!....and I was just about to say what Nighthawk replied about the lume Ian....my original CD has awesome lume when charged in the sunlight or an indoor daylight lamp and it glows and lasts long...through the night (which to me is about 6 hrs. sleep)just as the CDII but you can hardly compare lume to a monster or a watch using c-3 superluminova as this new blue lume is meant to be softer and easier on the eyes ....so in comparison to other watches using the same type of lume it is equal and or better than most imho hand6.gif

Boy that looks awesome!  I don't even normally care for gray dials...but with that black bezel, it looks great.  Makes me wonder if I should go for the PVD bezel.  Can't wait to get my yellow ETA CDII.

Oscar,

I'm glad you got yours, and it looks great!  Unfortunately, my wait continues as outlined in this e-mail:

Hello gentlemen.

As you may know I received the Cave Dwellers the other day.

Many of you are first time Boschett customers and may not be aware that I inspect each and every watch before I ship them out.  I don't just give them a cursory look I’m quite detailed in my review.  I look them over from a WIS’s point of view, not like someone just in it for a paycheck.

If any of you are at all like me, you may have assumed I did all this, because it would be the right thing to do.

While virtually everything about this watch exceeded my expectations, like the new bezel and clasp, during my quality control procedures, I found a rather minor issue with the crown on the watches with the ETA 2824.  For those of you who have one of my other watches, you will know I’m a little obsessed about the crown and want it to operate flawlessly, my Reef Ranger being the perfect example.

In the case with the Cave Dweller, it is what we in the business call “finicky” (a small attempt a humor).  Plain and simple, I’m not comfortable shipping the watches as is.  As mentioned before, many of you are new customers of mine and I’d hate to make a bad first impression.

Right now I am working diligently on a solution and will have more information in the days to come.  I ask that you accept my apology for this inconvenience and also ask for your understanding.  Please be patient while I make your watch worthy of the Boschett brand.

Yours truly,

Keith Boschetti
