Smith & Wesson M&P Pistols 9mm full size, 9mm compact, and 45 tan frame From the preliminary range reports they all function flawlessly. There were problems with some of the weapons as there always is with new models, but the most variation was with the compact 9mm from what I understand. These are all new versions of the weapons the oldest being produced in November 07 and have apparently been updated. The pistols work in a very similar fashion as a Glock except the ergonomics are much more comfortable and the grip angle would much better fit most shooters. As most of the hand gun enthusiasts know the grip angle on the Glock is farther off of the 90 degree axis that is perpendicular to the plane of the barrel. All of the pistols are made in the USA and are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the near feature. Each pistole has a street price around $500 and comes with a $50 rebate and 2 additional free magazines, both of which are shipped to you in about 8 to 12 weeks.

Avery those look and sound very nice. I may have to look into them. I have a old heavy Colt 45ACP and a Walther P90 40S&W but that looks like it could may be a replacement or addition. Really like the idea of a compact of that makeup. Thanks for posting. Would make for a few seconds faster reload than my 5 shot S&W 357. :cool: ;)

If you were looking into one make sure the sample fired case is as knew as possible, and never sell the old heavy Colt (1911's are one of my favorite range guns). Have a good one!

But if you do sell that Colt, I call dibs:D. Those M&Ps are supposed to be some good shooting pistols. I just have a problem with all that plastic. Sometimes I can get past it, but most times I can't. Give me a good ol' fashioned metal frame in a proven platform(1911, Sig Sauer, Browning Hi-Power) any day of the week. Also the older S&W revolvers.

The 9mm compact has been in my sights but have yet to see them show up in any gun shops....I did recently add Pachmayr grips to my 92FS though and have some range time scheduled next week to see how they feelhand6.gif Attachment: Picture 005.jpg (Downloaded 40 times)

If you ever need some work on it I have a guy that specialises in 1911s. He was trained by Armand Swenson back in the 80s. I have 2 1911s built by this guy and my Gvt. model is the best shooting pistol I've ever had. He even has some vintage parts that he hoards for just that one old pistol that comes in from time to time.

That is one of the made in the US Beretta's I believe from looking at the dust cover. I would not suggest ever parting with that one O. Some friends of mine turned me onto a spring assembly that is made by Wolff that will greatly improve the reliability of that one. Almost forgot CDNN has the sand resistant mag's for it for about $18 to $19 each, it may not be a bad thing to have on hand. Oscar, while I'm not a big Beretta 92 fan, that is a VERY nice looking one. I do like the VERTEC version, it's much more comfortable in my hands. Also, you can NEVER go wrong with Wolff springs. They are to gun springs, what Rolex and Omega are to dive watches. They set the standard. I use Wolff springs in all my pistols. Good mags w/good springs are a must also. I have 4 of the beretta's and 2 US made and 2 Italian, the best of all of them is the Police Special made in the US. The new ones made in Italia have plastic guide rods and triggers. They also have a slanted dust cover like this one. I would check on the year of manufacture when ordering parts, same as a car.
