Just wonderin if theres any baseball fans out there in 3T land ? My teams have always been the Brewers (geographic) and the old school teams like the Indians, White sox, Tigers and Yankees...(hate the red sox) The Brewers are in first and I think they are going to actually stay in first ....the Tigers and Indians are doing great as well ...I would assume Tony's a Tiger guy and O is an Indian fan ???

Baseball fanatic here. I live in the hometown from your stud pitcher Ben Sheets and know his family. I am a Cardinals fan. I am originally from Illinois outside St. Louis. Would say I hate the Cubs but really can't say that as I watch every game I can which is a lot as I have MLB League Pass. I have to say I DO like the Red Sox and watch them any chance I get. I like to watch any teams that plays good ball.

I also have the direct TV baseball package ....and I would probably say the number one reason I purchased a high def 42 inch TV was to watch baseball....I stay up late watching the late games on the west coast ...Ben Sheets is a great pitcher and from what I hear he is a great guy

I agree, nothing like a game on the big screen. Have a 55" high def. I to stay up late watching the west coast games. I work rotating shifts so when I am on nights I have something entertaining to watch on nights off. The games I miss at home I catch on the XM radio. I have them in all of my vehicles and a handheld.

Not a big baseball fan (a little too slow) but when I watch, it's usually the Cubbies!

Actually I jumped the gun thinking you were a Padre fan since you live in Dago ...but you could well be a Dodgers fan or an Angels fan also ??? The Angels look awesome this year

I just wrapped up a weekend series at Miller Park.. Saturday was a GREAT game.  My first "walk-off" game I've seen in person... SUPERFANTABULOUS!

I'll be there again Sept. 28th as they wrap up their playoff birth! smile8.gif

Baseball has a lot of action.  The ball is 'in play' whenever a runner is on.  With HD you can appreciate pitches better than ever before.  The tension between batter and pitcher can be quite intense, especially in low scoring games.  It's fun watching the Indians!!  party.gif (I thought we were going to pull it out in the bottom of the 8th last night... oh well.)

Now football (US style)... THAT'S a game of intense action for 5 seconds and nothing happening for 60... boring! <= just my opinion!

Baseball is many chess games being played between pitcher and batter catchers and managers .....anybody who says baseball is boring just doesnt know the complexities of the game .....it sometimes does not have enough action in todays world and thats why action packed controled violence rules ...like the NFL !!!!! Now I love the NFL but to me its very relaxing to watch a slow paced baseball game ......now if a guy just doesnt like baseball that is a perogitive just like I dont like soccer :D

I'm a diehard San Francisco Giants fan, but this season, oh its pure misery and sadness.  *sniff sniff*

As for baseball being "boring" - I think people who say that are not true fans of the game - or maybe they've never played it.  Even though there is some waiting in baseball, there is always something going on, some strategy being used, and so many intricacies to each situation.  To me, soccer is pretty boring to watch - the ball goes back and forth, back and forth, and no one ever scores.  But I'm sure if I played the game on a regular basis, I would appreciate how difficult it really is, and where the strategy came in.

Was a nice weekend for baseball. Got to watch a few milestones thanks to MLB League Pass. Watched Bonds tie Henry Aaron, saw A-Rod hit his 500th home run and just enjoyed watching Tom Glavine win his 300th game this evening.

Yes it was a very good weekend for baseball, and great to watch those future hall of famers setting those milestones.

Very true.   I've been a fan of A-Rod since he was playing for the Appleton Foxes in '94.  I think he's a great guy and really hope to see him with several records when he's done.

Can't complain watching Glavine's HOT wife in the stands while he tries to get win # 300.

Well if your going to bring up woman, just go to Dodger stadium on Saturday.  Your neck will hurt for 3 days, just from looking all aroundtoon1.gif.  Also you better wear sunglasses, specially if your married.anodie.gif
