Hi Guys! I noticed that Precista now has their beautiful 'Radiomir Lookalike' back FS on the web:

(Image Courtesy of Jakub Sivek in Czechoslavakia!)

But, for a few bucks more, I understand that Dievas has this even-more beautiful Vintage 3646 FS:

Does anyone in here have one of these? Will there be any problem getting this through US Customs now that Panerai seems to be cracking down on 'homage' designs?

BUMP! Never mind the dumb 'Customs Question' - I see that Long Island Watch has the 3646, so I can buy from them!

I wanted 3646 from Vollmer several years ago but never got around to it. When I saw Dievas had both 3646 and Kampfschwimmer in production with a sapphire crystal - I got one of each. Both Long Island Watch and Watchmann have them.

Personally i will get the Dievas with the tall acrylic crystal, it looks more vintage and authentic. :D:D  The prcecista however is a very nice watch too. Get both. happy1.gif

The Limited Edition of the Precista PR-20 - the one with Cotes de Geneve engraving - is out of production and no longer available! FYI, only the plain-back PRS-20 'Italian' is listed on the Timefactors website!

Interestingly, for whatever reason, the Long Island website displays similarly-blank backplates on the (supposedly-upgraded) 3646 Sapphire Dievas they show - even though their description states that the watch has a movement with CDG engraving!

Finally, the owner of Long Island Watch, who's currently out of the office, says he'll resolve this issue for me by, hopefully, no later than Wednesday!

Updates to follow!

In a word, yes! Especially since Panerai's lawyers went after the guys selling "Marina Militare's" on eBay!

THANK YOU for verifying that, Anders!

I was concerned about the AGP (and passed it by) because your website also shows a non-engraved movement!

Maybe I should reconsider and just go all out for the AGP!

Do you know if Marc Frankel, the owner of Long Island Watch, can obtain one of those for me so that I can avoid U.S. Customs?

i have the AGP and imo its a very different watch from the others. The DLC on the AGP is unlike any i have ever seen. Its very evenly coated like something out of a factory and very tough. ive been wearing it frequenlty for the past year, not a scratch on it. toon1.gif If yer into black watches, the AGP is probably a great choice, but if u want something more authentic in the lines of the old italian dive watches, maybe choose one from the vintages? personally i love the 2533 sterile dial and my watches tactical, so the AGP fits me like a glove. cool10.gif
