Anybody have thought on the Hamilton khaki? After wearing mine for a few days, I kept taking off and admiring the 7750 movement inside, and even showed it to strangers:) The pushers are very crisp. the watch reminds me of the omega dynamic oscar traded me earlier this year.

Also, how can a company put that much into a watch and be able to sell it at such a great price? The strap and deployment alone is almost a c-note.

As in all business some models are discounted to make room for newer models...the ones we have as shown by Gregger seem to be in this category as they were sold at $799. originally...this is my assumptionhand6.gif I just bought a Stovard Jurgenson Val.7750 from Marc at IslandWatch for $299. Go Figure!cool10.gif

I think Hamilton provides great values across the board. I've heard the 7750's they use are Asian. WGAF? There are always rumblings their lower level stuff is manufactured in Asia. Whatever...

It's clearly good stuff and a great value. I do love the wobble of a 7750.

Great watches guys...

Pax

I have several V7750 movements now...they are all very crisp...much more so that the V7753.  I have heard the Asian Movement story before and it seems a little problematic to me.  While I find no "Swiss Made" markings on the watch, it does denote "Swiss" on the rotor.  But what seems problematic too me is that Hamilton (an American Brand) is owned by the SWATCH Group, the Swiss company that owns and manufactures ETA Valjoux movements.  Asian made or Swiss made, you can rest assured that SWATCH is going to insure that they are not a spot reference their corporate reputation! hand6.gif  I gotta tell you, I love the Khaki Field even better than its big brother the Khaki Aviation!

As to pricing, who the heck knows.  I got my Khaki Field Chrono for $190 at a TJ MAXX BNIB with factory warranty (even though the "The Goon" idiot of WUS and Big Dumb Watch Forum will tell you it isn't so)!  Damn, he is sooooooooooooo easy!subtlelaugh.gif

I am feeling you fully, Ken. I only mention it because others do as if it is fact. Consequently I am left only with WGAF!! I agree that Swatch is not likely to sully the group with garbage.

You know I stole one at TJs and haven't had any issues and won't... One, because the watch is solid, and two, if I did during warrantly period I would have the work done just as you did. I am aghast you used the Goon's full moniker and must now go purge from both ends... does he ever lurk here??

thanks for that!!

Take this!~!

Oops! I will edit my post to read "The Goon" not only because it more accurately reflects his true nature and intelligence level, but because he also purports to have total legal knowledge in internet law and may soon sic his legal expertise on me (despite the fact that he has no law degree nor legal training - but he has a friend that's a lawyer - hmmmmmm....that figures!).

I am sure he lurks here as do many from Big & Dumb...........but only because they can learn something about watches here.......as opposed to being simply a big ol' buddy loving fest!!!!
