Though the brilliance of the record thrives on the faster material -- especially the febrile first side -- a true highlight amongst highlights is the closing "Anthrax," full of barely controlled feedback squalls and moans. It's nearly psychedelic, something post-punk and new wave were never known for. With a slight death rattle and plodding bass rumble, Jon King equates love with disease and admits to feeling "like a beetle on its back." In the background, Andy Gill speaks in monotone of why Gang of Four doesn't do love songs. Subversive records of any ilk don't get any stronger, influential, or exciting than this. Selma Hayek was once the hottest women on the planet .... now mabey Keely Hazel ????? Brett Favre is back and he still is a very good quarterback ...not as good as he was ...but still is better than 80% of the QB's out there ...He is a friend of mine so mabey I am biased

I have no ill-will toward Favre, I just think that WAY too oftrn, players and coaches stay long beyond their ability to do so. At some point in one's career, the game simply passes them by. Favre is NOT the one to bring the Packers back...he is old (for an NFL palyer), been hit hard and injured one too many times, and playing injured, he is next to worthless. Packers need to look to the future, not live in the past. Glad you claim Favre as a friend...I don't know him, but he seems like a very nice, gracious guy. On the other hand, I have met Marino who is a world class horse's ass! BTW, tell Brett that it has always bothered me that he doesn't know the "r" in his name comes after the "v"..................

He hasn't hit the wall yet inho and struggled last year from the lack of talent around him. A few bits and pieces and the Pack can make a playoff run, but I will admit to being doubtful they could go anywhere after making the playoffs... and of course this said in February!! THE PACKERS ARE MUCH BETTER OFF with Brett Favre at QB .... and Even though it seems to you that I am "claiming" Brett is a buddy , and this seems outlandish to you ?!?!? You took my words wrong.............I have no doubt that Favre is your friend.....you have said so and I have no reason whatsoever to not believe you! As a matter of fact, I have every reason to believe you. Sorry that you took unintended offense to the way my statement was worded.! That said, Brett Favre was a magnificant player, a certain Hall of Famer, but now in the twilight of his career..............the only really great QB I've seen, that knew when it was time to leave, was Bob Griese. It may be true that the Packers are a much better team with Favre than without him, but that doesn't say much about the planning and management skills of the team's hierarchy...so, as a Bears fan, I can only conclude that what was truly meant is, that while the Packers SUCK, they SUCK less with Favre than the SUCK without him!woohoo.gif

Ken .... I didnt take offence that I thought you didnt believe he was a buddy .... I got to know him before he was a big star and we hit it off from the beggining ...The first time I met him, he needed a truck to borrow( which I lent him) .... and he was an overweight 3rd stringer from ATL ....I said to him YOUR Brett Favre ????? The guy everyone says we wasted a 1st round pick on ???? It looks like you could lose a pound or thirty ??? He laughed and since we both liked to drink beer , fish and golf we became friends ....MY OWN COUSIN the Paxman himself was sceptical untill I brought him out on a night on the town with Brett and some other Packers .... What I was talkin about was you thought I said he had worth ONLY because I knew him ....believe me when I tell you I am the 1st to bitch about his stupid mistakes ...and Ill do it to his face ....You are correct in saying that the Packers brass lack forethought and that the Pack still isnt a very good team with him as QB

With the way TV money is split, there is no real incentive and no real accountability....and that is why I am a college level sports fan. In college, they don't switch teams every year and they play with heart, either because they simply love the sport or are trying to make it to the show! I do hand it to Favre for sticking with the sucky Packers and not JUST following the money!
